Do you have some context? Where did you see this abbreviation? I'm sure we would love to help, me in particular since I run into this problem myself from time to time. (Okay, a lot.) People on the internet seem to enjoy abbreviating things. To sort through this confusion, most abbreviations and acronyms on this site have a lovely little function where you can hover over them to reveal possible meanings and the sources they are from. However, the ability of the mod-lords is only surpassed by the rabidity of the internet community in creating new abbreviations, and so you run into the occasional one with no revealable information. As I said, if you can provide some context we might be able to help more.

I was being unhelpful, but I think lledwey's right about it being Word In Your Ear, but as Jimsolo says, it's hard to say without context.

i was reading a 40k article / post , cant remember exact sentence

looks like its not a common wh40k abbreviation like SM= space marine
