Because of the many discussions about video games etc I was wondering what everybody likes to do in their spare time; I like to read manga, sail (28th in my county) and play minecraft with my friends on a server.
This is my first thread so don't flame me if this has come up before, please

I'm in a band, that keeps me pretty busy. We practice twice a week and gig a few times a month.

Used to be a big gamer, now I play other video games like Dwarf Fortress, Minecraft, and Stone Soup in my spare time.

sweet, I wish i was in band, but cant sing for toffees/ shiny new warhammer and any instrument i touch goes *ping... crack* .
However my older bro can play like 6 different instuments, grade 5+ on 3 and my little bro can play the exorcist theme tune on the piano,
even though he's only been playing for like 2 months

That's not bad going.

I'm a (very) amateur writer and have a love of Japanese animation and Russian literature.

Video games are my other hobby; I wouldn't even say Art is my other hobby, its more like my 2nd job.

I'm big on model railways and railways in general. I'm not a train spotter, I much prefer finding, researching and walking on disused railway lines and finding the old platforms. I'm a disused-railway spotter.

I like Doctor Who. (a lot)

Marriage and tropical fishkeeping.

Does work or raising kids count? If so, I'm all over that gak!

Otherwise, I'm lucky to find a few hours to paint every week. Once in a while I manage to sneak out to the FLGS.

Some Computer games, reading books, riding my motorcycle and collecting guns.

Video games, paintball, golf and role playing.

Wow I wish that I was 28th in the country- in fact im the 28th in my county (west sussex), as of 2009 (if i tried againmthis year i might be in the top ten . Like you I like russian luterature, especially Tolstoy, at the moment i'm reading War and Peace, having just finished Chldhood, Boyhood, Youth.

Hmm I approve of this tread. When not gluin/paiting/ playing with my plastic men I like to read, sleep, work, work some more and then a bit of gaming.

I paint and draw, and work on my role-playing game. (Look out for it in the future!)

Reading, browsing the internet/dakka, ice hockey, paintball (wow, its been years since I've actually played...), video games.

Reading, video games, Minecraft, Dakka, used to do fencing but got disheartened after my custom epee snapped , listening to music, and used to enjoy cycing until by bike got stolen

Well, I'm a transvestite(which is a full-time-and-a-half job]
, but, since I naturally look feminine, so it doesn't take much, I am interested in anime, manga, I make cosplay when I can, I spend time with my beloved lindsey(a biological woman), I play a lot of japanese games, like touhou. I collect anime toys, and plushies. Even though I am russian, I'm not into russian literature. I love comedy more than anything else in the world of literature, like george carlin and stephen colbert. I do like stephen king books a lot too, I love vocaloids and videogames, like zelda and disgaea. I like old-fashioned clothing(like the clothes the girl in the movie orphan wore). I also work in an entertainment store, so, I get to be around media, so, I'm happy.

I like to go for walks in the park at night, or sit in my car / on a bench at the Lakefront(I live within walking distance of Lake Ontario) looking out over the water(still at night). There are also a lot of forests nearby with trails to walk, and many beautiful Waterfalls nearby(Hamilton has over 100 waterfalls within the city). But the majority of my free time is spent at home watching TV shows on my computer, browsing the internet, or playing, building/painting Warhammer 40K.

I build monsters for our local Halloween attraction and do a lot of painting and artwork there too. And I make terrain. And read a lot.

I used to be into modding power wheels pretty heavily. That was a blast until the kids got to big :sadpanda:

Then I was into mud bogging for a couple years. It was really good fun, but it gets costly if your truck breaks alot. Mine didnt, but my brother and his buddy OTOH, broke alot.

I also collect PEZ dispensers. Got over 100 currently

Golf, Sailing and Cave diving.

Nothing anymore. No time or money for other fun stuff. In the past, I liked mtg, comics, rpg, lego, reading, working out, golf, and other sports. Now it is just warhammer and my family, although I've been getting my boys lego sets for Christmas and their birthdays this past year.

I love reading & learning, cooking and baking, and playing jazz music on my tenor saxophone. I also hunt deer with my family for one long weekend every fall.

I started off playing a tenor, then moved onto the baritone sax. That was an awesome sax to play, I loved it. I actually really miss playing one.

I spend most of the time in front of the tv or reading at the moment with no job. If I have the time I also mess around on my bass guitar ( I don't kid myself that I can play that well). Aside from that I spend a lot of time doing voluntary work for St John Ambulance, teaching, training and going on duty. Recently I completed the first stage of my ambulance training within the organisation, qualifying as a Patient Transport Attendant.

Right now, EVE Online, running, fishing, and hunting.

Warhammer itself has really fallen by the wayside. The guys I played Fantasy with mostly moved away, and the 40k group has gotten pretty cliquesh and not much a crowd I want to play with anymore.
