I ve just finished reading it and I must say I really enjoyed it. I love both Russ and Magnus. I liked how they showed Magnus, it seems like he is still in control, and still seems like he was in the HH novel Thousand Sons, but then it shows how far he has really fallen. Anyone else really want to find out what has happened to Russ??? They mention him a couple of times, seems something bad has happened to him, doesnt seem like he is dead the way they talk about him though. My first thought was it seems like he has been captured and getting tortured or humiliated, what do you guys think?

Lets get a wee conversation on the go about the book

I really liked this book, my favortie part were the dreadnoughts. It really showed their outlook and had some of the most interesting personalities.

I don't know but if he is alive then he maybe the only one left/

we may be few, but even though we are near destruction. we the shadow wolves survive and move on to get our vengence on the tyrinids!

Is it a reasonable split between wolves and sons? Because I honestly can't stand the way the wolves are portrayed in books and find it painful to read in almost every previous book released.

Thousand Sons I really like though. If I played CSM, it would be them.

But yea, this and fulgrim are on my to do list. Shame all the DA books are utter trash as they're my favorite loyalist group.

Magnus powers probably allow him to see Russ just about anywhere, so he's porbably the only person who could know where Russ is. That doesn't necessarily mean Russ is captured, Magnus is just a know it all.

Yes but Magnus monolog when he is in front of the statue of Russ suggests to me that - at least at the time of the book- Russ was alive and not in a good situation. Weather that situation was Magnus/chaos doing and there for Magnus knows from first hand experience or something else befalling Russ and Magnus found out through clairvoyance or some other means I'm not sure on
