Firstly a few Pis of what I've got and dusted off the 5 years worth of dust...

Necrons

Started colleting Necrons way back in 2002 when they were first released. Had a Monolith but that got damaged beyond repair back in 2006 when I moved house . In 2005 I went to my first gamesday here in UK and brought myself a Necron Pylon, sweet day that was may be going again this year... but leaving my bank cards at home

First pic, my army as it stands now... some models in pieces after years of storage.


On top of that I think I still have about 6 Scarab Swarms that aren't made up yet

Pylon... in pieces as it too got damaged when I moved in 2006... one day I will finish it

Theres was a lot of damage to the crystal matrix so I'm gonna make my own at some point. Also in the process of stripping the REALLY bad paint job.

Destroyers plus 1 Heavy Destroyer

The Heavy Destroyer is having a new gun, I've never liked the GW one you can see it next to its base... Close up coming later.

My Warriors... I'm not looking forward to painting these guys... about 46 in total some are in the course of paint stripping.

Nightbringer not liking storage, I do have 2 pariahs.. never finished them same as the Immortal he's the only one

For now my necrons are being put away, except for the Heavy destroyer so I can finish him and this guy to test my 'New' paint scheme. That is until the rerelease (mental note to self: start putting some cash to one side for new stuffs)


So thats basically it for my Necrons, Oh I do have a Tomb Spider... somewhere, christ only knows where though.

Orc Scratch Built

Not exactly Necron or Black Templar but I started this as a bit of fun... kinda got forgotten since, My sctracth built Orc Battlewagon (or will be if I ever finish it)


Kinda lost what I was going for, a while back someone did a conversion using that same model 'Tamyia Quad Gun Tractor' Looked sweet as, which is where the idea came from. Can't find any pics of it now though, if anyone knows the one I mean, please send me some pics or links need to get my inspiration back.

Black Templars

Ok on to my Black Templars. Started these guys as soon as their codex came out back in 2005 iirc. So heres what I've got so far... not a lot mind.

Theres is a guy for the Heavy Bolter, but I didn't like how his robes and back pack came out so into the Dettol he went.





Very little has been painted, some got a white primer some black, the Sword Brethren didn't even get that far.

At the back you can see my lastest addition. My Assult Termis, they look a bit different now... Had some goodies from Forgeworld... Pic spam







Final posture not yet decided hence why they're tacked together atm. The middle guy is on my very first custom built base, before I used to just sand it but this time I want something decent. It's not quite done yet waiting on the putty to finish the concrete block he's stood on. Which brings me nicely to my request. I'd like to reposition his legs also the walking guy I want to bring his Hammer across his front as if he's banging on his shield, but I've never attempted anything like it before and I have no idea where to start any tips or guides would be greatly appreciated. I'm also going to do a conversion for my emporer's Champ, personnally I don't like the GW model... too plain I think, still coming up with ideas atm I'll keep ya posted.

Not a lot else atm with these guys.

'Project Behemoth 'Helbrecht Pattern Landraider'

If you have read my intro post, I did say something about me planning the largest project I've ever undertaken. Well I'm gonna give you some pics of what inspired me to do it. About a month or so ago I went searching for some inspiration for making a Land Raider for my BT's standout from the rest, not just using the crusader pattern but something different... well I came across this...

I thought to myself that looks good... but them this is the Mk1...

It's missing some of the final details but it looks incredable. The guy responsible for this 'Andrea1969' from Deviantart has allowed me to use his design and build it... But for some reason I feel compled to add this to the front...


It's still very much in the 'planning' phase, although I can tell you I'm going to be widening it because of the Vulcan and lengthening it to add a 3rd set of side hatches. Went to my FLGS last week when I picked up my termis, had a chat with one of the guys there... so far I'm looking at the following:
2x Landraider Crusaders
1x Administratum
1x Manufactorum

As I said still VERY firmly in the planning stages but comments, ideas, tips etc still welcome.

Quick update, My milliput and GS have arrived, time to get sculpting cloaks etc... this could be fun.

Finished off the base for my Termi 'Sergeant'

Now all black, looks far better in black.

My new selection of Vallejo paints have arrived, finally proper painting can commence.

Started the reposing/conversion of a couple of the Termis, no pictures atm, Mum and her boyfriend have nicked the good camera to go to France. I'll get some before I spray them up.

Slow going atm, work taking up a lot of time...

Yikes been over a week since I've been here...

Quick update: (No pics tho sorry, camera is still in France)

Termies are coming along nicely, working on the urban bases currently. 2 of the Termies have been reposed a little GS gap filling still to be done (doesn't look to bad imo, pics to come later). Started to paint my Tac Squad... Oh my my painting is beyond crap... I am severly out of practice with it, I'm finding simple techniques difficult atm. So I've nabbed a mates old Chaos stuff (He hasn't played for 4 years, so he gladly handed it over to get rid of it) to play about with. One thing he does have or did, which ever... A Rhino and a Predator... So in true Black Templar style I'm reclaiming them in the name of the Emporer!! So far they've had all chaos bits removed, the top removed for better access to the inside, rear door, side doors/sponsons, front panel removed for the BT upgrade kit bits. Sponsons have been removed as I want Lascannons also I'm gonna magnetise them, then the Dettol bath and I can begin.

As for my Necrons, I've finally decided on a paint scheme. If any one has played Dawn of War: Dark Crusade... I'm going with Miskal Prime colour scheme, Red Head, shoulders and body everything else grey. Although I was thinking of using a more blue grey then grey grey (does that make sense!?!) going for a more ceramic look then metallic. I'll try and get one painted up maybe even a destroyer, speaking of which... Red or Grey for the skimmer body? I'm thinking red would be overpowering yet the grey maybe too dull, any ideas?

Oh going back to the Chaos stuff I forgot my mate had one of these...

I'm thinking it'll make a nice side project to paint up, so any tips with is guy are greatly appreciated.

Well it's been a while RL and me on the long road to getting my own business started have zapped a lot of my time lately, but I've managed to get some things done.

My mates 'old Chaos' pred reclaimed

Banded up after I tore it apart and cleansed it of the Taint.

And ever schools boys dream... MAGNETS!!!


Unfortunatley the turret did not survive the cleansing rituals...

Anyway onto my termies. I've almost finished these 2, some GS still to do and need to get some guitar strings for the wires and such. Any tips on what size would look best??

Need to redo this guy's base aswell. When he's finished his hammer will be slightly higher than it is atm.

Wires on this guy need finishing... Oh and they both need their heads at some point as well.

And just for a bit of fun i got this guy, after having a quick intro game into fantasy...

Makes a change from painting 40k.

You have some nice stuff there man. I like that custom made gaus flayer for the heavy destroyer. Also, that Land Raider is pretty sick looking. Looking forward to see your painted maodels.
