If I rolled a on the first roll for a TL-KMB and re-rolled it as something other than a one, does the first still wound the model? O, when you "re-roll" anything, the first roll doesn't count?

Deffkopta can buy 'em 5 points cheaper...
KMB has same range and str as TL-rokkits... but, has gets hot rule tho. Which isn't all that bad since Defkoptas has 4+ armou.
I just wasn't too clear on the re-roll and the first "one"

Hate to break it to you, but the Deffkopta has no option for a twin-linked KMB.
You can buy a non-twinlinked KMB to replace your TL Big shootas.
No other model in the standard dex gets TL KMB either, that i can see.

Yep, it's not twin-linked. Nor does it get an extra d6 penetration at 12" as your unedited post stated as the KMB does not have the melta rule.

If that is the case, then make sure you post a big report at http://www.ab40k.org/ so that the error can be rectified in future datafiles. Automatically Appended Next Post: Make that a 'bug' report.

Unless I'm missing something, no ork unit from any official book has the option for a TL-KMB

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

What version of the files are you using? I just looked in 1.19, 1.21 and 1.24 and it has only the codex options. Note that if you take a squad >1 model, 2+ KMBs means they are on 2+models.

Guys... I immediately uninstalled it and reinstalled AB... I specifically paid attention to pull in all the updates. It looks a little different and when I pull in the Ork details, it looks much accurate. You can also go get the updated Grey Knights! w00t!
Unfortunately, I don't know what was my previous version... :/ If I find another PC, I'll install the old version to get that version number... but, it's prolly a moot point (as it was really old).
I think I'm good on the AB front now.
Back to the main question... Boo for no TL-KMB!! lol
Anyhoo, I guess the only good place for them would be on KillaKans (to get AP 2 and it's 5 points cheaper!).
Thanks for clearing that up! Automatically Appended Next Post: wwwZugZugorc wrote:Jidmah wrote:Ascalam wrote:Hate to break it to you, but the Deffkopta has no option for a twin-linked KMB.

You would never roll 2 dice with an ammo runt as you only want to burn the ammo runt *BY CHOICE* if you fail to hit, so the order does matter for an ammo runt.
A TL weapon it doesn't matter the order as you are not consuming anything for a miss, in fact for a gets hot, you would not want to roll 2 because it is very possible to roll a 2 (miss) then roll a 1 (gets hot miss). That is impossible to distinguish with two of the same dice.

Also master crafted and similar "re-roll a single to-hit/to wound" special rules; those all require the roll and see if you want to re-roll.
Further more any time you are rolling multiple twin linked weapons it is easier to just roll all your shots, then re-roll your misses; prevents any possible distractions from gaining you more hits than shots fired; this has happened in tourney before: 6 Ork Warbikers rolled 36 dice for their 18 shots(since they are twin-linked), something distracted us between the cast of the dice and the counting of hits, wound up with 23 shots hitting(lucky rolls) out of the 18 fired, nearly all of them wounded guardsmen who were out of cover, we also didn't realize what had happened until the Ork assault phase where only 7 guardsmen were left, 3 of those being HWT(each with a wound on them; total models were the 2 teams, 3 PW sgts, and a commissar).
