Thoughts?

I'd probably dump the captain and his command squad for a lib with null zone and 5 more terminators. Then add in attack bikes or speeders with MMs with any points you have left.

Other than that i think it's pretty good.

The Captain isn't that cool TBH, I know you've taken to get the Command Squad, but I think you've got too much wargear on them as it says replace chainsword and/or bolt pistol, in your case you switch the chainsword for the flamer and bolt pistol for the power weapon - what you exchanging the storm shield for?

if you look in the codex you dont have to exchange anything for the storm shields, just 15pts per mobel. but i can see you logic with the amount of points i dumbed in them. If i decide to dump the capt then i will pick up a lib in terminator armor, what are your thoughts about dumping the Terminator Assault Squad in favor of normal Terminator Squad with H.Flamer and chainfist?(i would run 2 groups of 5 one to go with each HQ and both inside a redeemers) i dont know if at 2k points if i would want to try and fit attack bikes or speeders into the mix, but i would consider them if i took the list up to 2500pts.

Ah yes I see. It's at the bottom. I thought it was in the list of wargear. Ignore that point as the storm shields will be strapped to their backs .

Assault Terminators with hammers and shields are a lot better. Librarian is nice for gating about with them if you don't fancy a Land Raider, nullzone and avenger are handy powers as well. Though this will require your tanks to move up to provide multiple targets instead of hanging the Terminators out to dry.

If you want gunline you want Land Speeder Typhoons. Gunlines are static or have range, typhoon missile launcher is basically a double shot missile launcher and well you know what a multi melta is. I'd go Typhoons, suits your list better if gunline is your bag.

The Epistolary Upgrade is garbage 100% of the time, just get rid of it. TL HF Razors aren't very good in standard SM, because you pay almost as much as you would for a Las/Plas but since it's not fast, it can only shoot after going 6" so you'll have a hard time lining up shots for it. Drop those to Rhinos imo.

Now you've got 140 Free Points, you can take a couple of MM/HF Landspeeders that are doubly great in a Vulkan list.

From there you're pretty good, you can do some tweaks like swapping the Tactical flamers for meltaguns or getting combi-meltas on sergeants, whatever you feel like you'll need more of.

after many reply suggesting Speeders i stuck 2 in both with HF and MM, down grading the razors to rhinos and dropping the Episotolary from the lib.

i dont want to drop the flamers from the tact squads, while i know some of the other choices might be better. But the fluff of a salamander army i will keep as many flamers as i can. Fluff may be a dumb reason to some but if i dont like my army in a whole i wont enjoy playing it.
