death korps of krieg?

So after i finish my current necron army, i was thinking about death korps of krieg. I have been looking at them and love the look, history, playstyle...but you literally have to cut off your arm as payment(you dont really). is forge world the only place that sells them or are there cheaper places that they dont cost $90 for a single squad?

No one else sells them. Forgeworld make them and own the IP ,well I think they share it with Gw or something.

Cheapest alternative would be second hand

Most armies of Death korp I have seen are very mech orientated to save on money. Mix in some kasrkin aswell to save some money.

You would have to buy one of the Imperial armour books, sige of vraks I think, or course you could just download it.....

Argh use your shift key.

You can use the IG codex for the Death Korps just fine, or you can use one of the books Forgeworld puts out. Both are perfectly legal for fielding said armies, but Forgeworld books aren't always allowed at tournaments.

Ehhh. Yes and no.

Forge World is part of GW. Forge World can't have any "IP" that GW doesn't own properly.

Basically, Krieg are a pet project of Forge World. If one day GW decides to do 'plastic Krieg'--there's not a dang thing Forge World can do to stop it.
