I recently (i say that) a dwarf champion from GW, but it was ordered to my local store on 13-04-2011, it is now 24-06-2011, more than 2 months since i ordered it, and i have still not recieved it, granted it is a old model, and when i confronted my local GW rep about it, he gave me dwarf lord with hammer and shield (metal).


Is this normal, or am i just being extremly unlucky?

I would say extreamly unlucky. I once had to wait a month for some stuff to arrive, and I thought that was unlucky, but two months is unacceptable, even by GW standerds.

I would ring their customer support, or similar, and ask them where it has got to.
Make sure you have the order details ready to tell them though.

I would also contact GW Customer Service, they once sent me a large box of all Empire Knights (this was 2-3 editions ago) and sent me the right things, after I sent back all the misshipped items.

Most unusual, in my experience.

Items I have ordered to the shop arrive by the end of the same week, unless ordered after Tuesday.

The only exception should be an item that is completely out of stock in the supply chain.

Don't feel bashful about enquiring if your order is late.

A similar thing once happened to me, when after being told that I would have to wait for 3 weeks to get a dwarf thing I agreed that I would order it to the shopkeeper's house. I paid, but then he left the company... I only got my money back when I bumped into him like 3 months later

Joking apart, if ordered instore, you did actually pay for it at the till?

Had that before.

i just waited one time longer than a week for my stuff and that was because prince William and Kate had their marriage goin on. Was crazy how that delayed the shipping of nearly everything outta the UK - wasnt just GW stuff that was delayed. So no cheap excuse by GW. But besides that I never ever had any problems.

Yep, payed at the till.

I had a 4 month wait for 2 tomb spyders. It irked me some.

To be honest i forgot that i ordered them after about a month (new projects distracted me) until the box eventually arrived by way of Jupiter and Leng..
