Hello All,

I need your help. I am having a battle of wills with myself. I am very interested in starting a Sisters of battle army. I have a codex and two squads so far. But I am torn. I want to expand it to around 3000+ points but I don't know if I should hold off and hope... GW makes some new models. What are your recommendations?
Because If they are like this concept photo. Then I want to wait...

Same position here.. to be honest they will either be redone or be scrapped so I'd just wait and save...

I dont think thats concept art, looks more like fanart. Personally I would wait... I'm trying to snatch up a few more squads of metal sisters before the deformed misproportioned plastic resculpts get released...

Definitely wait. With the price of metal models, many of which are older than most users of this site, I would hold off.

Do both. Buy and paint squads at a reasonable rate until new units come out, then get those.

Just look at Dark Eldar before and after.

I'd for sure wait.

"AM are bunch of half human-half robot monkeys who keep tech working by punching it with a wrench And their tech is so sophisticated that you could never get it wrapped it out" thing a LITTLE to seriously. It also goes "Tau tech is so awesome I wish I was Tau and not some stupid Human" thing.

Haha thats kinda an insult. because half my army is old dark eldar... Idk I think I just try harder on painting my older ones so they even out lol.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I checked warseer and the rumor mill said that the current sisters (metal) won't looks too different from the new ones. Just more detail and plastic vs metal. soo idk.

In terms of tanks. ie exorcists I was going to forgeworld them anyway. I mean they wont look as religious but I was going to paint religious murals on them anyway. problem solved but nicer look. No damn organ....

Personally, I'm still expanding my Sisters with heavy and special weapons and squad leaders and Seraphim. Soon gonna add some basic Sisters, since I only have enough for a handful of squads.

Those are probably the ones I should be avoiding, and instead stocking up on basic Sisters, because the current rumors are that plastic Sisters will be a 5 woman box with a buttload of different options. This 5 woman box will - if it's like the Blood Angels Death Company or Grey Knights in Power Armor boxes, given their similar concepts, likely be priced in a way which will make special weapons, heavy weapons, squad leaders, and Seraphim much cheaper in plastic, but increase the price of basic Battle Sisters, all by standardizing their price per model.

But, I'm one of those people with more money than brains - not hard, really - who maintains my WH40k habit by setting a monthly spending limit, instead of going out and buying stuff as it seems useful. It seems to work out well for my wallet that way, though I will admit to occasional splurging.

All that said, if time's not a factor for you, then wait and see if new Sisters minis are released with either part of their upcoming White Dwarf Codex in August and September. It's not like money starts to rot.

If you really want, just get one squad of the existing ones. Other than that the wait doesn't seem that long.

I'm hoping they're like that concept art. Style is similar enough to the existing ones, but different enough for the existing ones to count as Celestians if they don't get a model.

Yeah I have two squads of ten. SO might just stay with that. idk. maybe ill just buy some rhinos and or some forge world heavies. dont think they will prolly change those much.

I heard Sisters would be getting a WD release. No clue if theres any truth in that.

That is confirmed, not sure at the moment if that includes some new miniatures. Current rumors still point to a full codex release somewhere near down the line, it will be with the full version that a large new release will occur. I would advise that you slowly build up a small force, but postpone the majority of your spending and plans until they get new miniatures. Current rumors also point that they are coming in plastic and are very dynamic.

Though looking at the GK releases, you should probably stock up on the current ones, before they gak it all up.

I'd very much consider purchasing some SB in the future if that artwork is authentic. You may complain about that the womanhood of the wearer is too exemplified, but they are the Sisters of Battle, an all female force, they would probably take pride in that fact.

Yeah. Another reason I love Warmahordes. I just prefer my models to have to some weight to them, and I find working with metal pretty much the as plastic, tedious at best.

Definately wait, you would regret it if you spent your money on the old minis and some lovely plastic ones came and if there isn't you can still get the old ones

Wait it out. I don't see a con to not waiting for the new stuff if there is any.

If you don't buy any now and none are made within a year then the prices for Sisters will probably stay about the same, but if new models come out well then you won't have wasted money on meh looking models.

I will be getting a SOB army but I am waiting for plastics. Plus I'm not going to go spending money on existing models without some idea of what the new codex is going to be like.

Yeah they are a bit expensive... I might just buy some rhinos, and then some forge world conversions. Work on the transports which will never go out of style. Work on conversions, and paint jobs to keep me occupied before the new stuff comes out.
