Ok so here is what I have so far,
HQ:
Company Command Squad: 80 points
Astropath
TROOPS:
Vet Squad: 150 points
Plasma Gun x2, Heavy Flamer, Demolitions
Vet Squad: 150 points
Plasma Gun x2, Heavy Flamer, Demolitions
Vet Squad: 135 points
Melta Gun, Flamer, Heavy Flamer, Demolitions
Vet Squad: 135 points
Melta Gun, Flamer, Heavy Flamer, Demolitions
FAST ATTACK/ TRANSPORT
Valkyrie: 140 x2
Rocket Pods, HB Sponsons
Valkyrie: 110 x2
HB Sponsons
Vendetta: 130 x2
TOTAL POINTS: 1410
90 points room for additional war-gear etc. I would be using the Valkyries to drop off the vet squads where needed,
with the vendetta’s running antitank support. HQ would sit back and look pretty, using the astropath to call in reserves quickly.
Everybody’s got demo-charges and flamers for mob control, with melta bombs for close range tank suppression.
Not sure where I should go what I should do with that extra 90 points.
I could fluff up my HQ but since I am planning on keeping them in the backfield, well hidden I don’t see a point.

Perhaps give the CCS a Heavy Weapon to take advantage of their BS of 4 and their (Hopeful) distance from the enemy? EDIT: and swap out a couple of Valks for Vendettas, their points costs are the same as those with Missile Pods and they add some good AT to your force.

Sry that was my bad, vendettas and valks are not the same price, but I have the correct final count.
Anyways,
FAST ATTACK/ TRANSPORT
Valkyrie: 140 x2
Rocket Pods, HB Sponsons
Vendetta: 130 x2
Vendetta: 130 x2
this would bring me up to 1450, and I agree, I probably will need the extra AT support. As for a weapon in the command squad, would 1 lascannon or mortar really make that much of a difference ya think?

Not really, but with all those vet squads flying around, it'll be fairly low down on the list of targets, and BS 4 means it'll most likly hit what its aiming at, especially with orders.

So going off your idea, I added a master of ordinance seeing as I am allowed to have multiple advisors, and a mortar team.
This would give me two bombardment attacks from halfway across the board.
Bringing my total to 1485.
My next thought was i could either add HB-sponsons to the two vendetta's loaded with troops. Or I could give two two Vet sergeants Power weapons or Plasma pistols.
Or, I could give them all a HWT with a Mortar, or two a HWT with a HB or AC.
Thoughts?

You do not want to bog down your vets with heavy weapons. If your shooting the heavy, your not moving. You want to give your Command squad Camo Cloaks, a lascannon or a AC and two plasma or melta guns. Master of Ordnance works well in a CCS like this because it is static. If you want to make your CCS flamer proof (or at least a 4+ save), get carapace.
I would not bother with the HB sponsons on the Vendettas for anti-infantry, that is what the Valks are for. If your shooting at a tank (AV12+), your HBs are worthless and wasted.
Don't bother putting melee weapons on your vets, they will not do great in melee. If you did, your best option is a Str 6 Init 1 power fist. Not very ideal, is it... The only thing you ever want to assault are vehicles and walkers since you have 10 meltabomb shots incoming.

Get another CCS with 4x Meltaguns with the spare 90 points. You have a gunship for them to ride in, and they double the amount of orders you can issue while still boasting a formidable amount of firepower.
