What advice would you give to somebody who has not played in a 40k tournament before?

Are there any do's or don'ts outside of the normal game?

Anything in particular I should watch out for?

Or just anything you think I should know?

Any advice what so ever would be greatly appreciated!

Bede.

Not mine but seems to be a pretty good guide.

Just chill out and have a good time. If you go in with a good attitude then most of your games will be fine, and if you play anyone who absolutely spanks you then pay attention to what they're doing and learn.

Thank you for the link! It is very helpful.

And thank you Corrode, I do expect to be taught a few lessons to be honest. I will try and not take it too seriously

Like corrode said, go with an open mind, prepared to see some lists and tactics that may be new to you. Even if you get your butt whipped, just remember it's all a learning experience.

If you go in relaxed, you'll have a great time. And you may end up like some of us getting the bug and start going to tournaments all the time!
