How do you guys recomend outfitting a hero/monster killer unit combined with the abiltiy to handle their own with hordes if need be. Heroes may be attached to said team

Fairly certain that most SW player aren't doing that...
It's not a great build and Arjac is expensive and against hordes they don't really do that well.
It'll stomp most monsters or other similar units but it isn't a great build for SW.
What a lot of SW payers are doing is using Long Fangs with missile launchers to kill monsters instead.

TH/SS is wicked expensive for Space Wolves, but it's good to have a few. Wolf Claws are great since you can opt to reroll hits against hordes, or reroll wounds against monstrous creatures who will be tougher to take down. A Wolf Priest can give them his oath of battle or whatever and they can also get preferred enemy against whatever kind of unit you want dead. So if need be, you could take a mixed squad of WC and TH/SS and take the priest's oath to kill MCs.

A mix is likely a better idea...

Personally I like taking a mess of different equipment just because it's cool and I can. If I feel like spending something stupid in the realms of 500-600 points in a Logan's Heroes army, it can be something like 10 men, 3 TH/SS, 2 pairs of wolf claws, 2 assault cannons, 3 power fists, and 2 frostblades. There are some damn efficient ways to use points in the Space Wolves codex, but I have a lot more fun with expensive crap that has more character.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

can you take Clyclone missiles on those WG?

that could help with hordes and also be good against tanks.

The requirements being asked seems to stop short of dealing with vehicles (which some of the loadouts can feasibly do). It is possible for a WG unit to perform such a task but it may be better to buy individual units to minmax their abilities. Have a unit of PW Terminators with Storm Bolters go after hordes (Cheap Terminators with a bunch of attacks in all phases) while a few LC/SB Terminators outfitted with Cyclone Launchers fight off the monsters.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I tend to have my Terminators avoid vehicles at all costs due to bad experiences i had with a Leman Russ once, so i just have ML Long Fangs with TL Las Razorback deal with them
