This is one of my favourite GW sculpts, looking good, especially the eyes. However as much as I like the dark red, I think it would look better with another highlight. One of my other concerns is the bolter, it lacks definition when compared with the rest of the model, perhaps paint part of the casing black, red or gold?

The other handhold on the bolter (up near the front) is a good choice to add some definition. You could paint it brown, as though it were wood. Also, the ammo drum. Bronze would be a good choice there.
I do love the paint job though. This is one of my favorite sculpts that I have seen from GW. I own one myself and just haven't been able to bring myself to cut the power fist off of him yet. What Chapter is this, if you don't mind my asking?

I agree with model collector on all accounts. Try giving him light blood red highlights along the armor lines. As for the bolter, I would say go the same color as the power fist for the casing. Don't forget the white dots in the upper recesses of the eye plates to really make 'em pop!

The Fallen are the Dark Angel's most closely guarded secret. None but the trusted brothers of the Inner Circle even know of their existence. Share their burden by joining in their knowledge of that most terrible of truths: Summary of the Fallen

Agreed on the bolter. Something on the grip and casing would help break things up and give it definition on par with the rest of the model.
Regarding the shading/highlighting, looking at the right arm, left knee, and even the torso, it also appears that the lay of the wash (assuming you used one, by appearances) seems to have shaded some areas in reverse, i.e. darker at the top and lighter/redder at the bottom. I love the color and the gradation, but the lay of it in a lot of places is wrong, to my eye.
