The following list is one that I used with fairly good success during the advent of 8th edition. However, I haven't played a single game under the new army book and I'm not exactly sure how I should go about converting it to fit.

What are your thoughts? Should I make any of the units larger? Obviously, I need to add my HQs (and I'm open to suggestions). How do people feel about the Arachnarok now that it has been out for a while?

Couple things, first off dual HW for me on my boys is terrible and i like taking shields for that pretty parry save. Also I would split the units of arrer boys into two smaller units of 12 so that you can use them more as a hunter squad. Also if you are not taking rares i would take the trolls as stonetrolls personaly (ugly models but nice rules)

I have played the Arachnarok a few times and each time i like it a bit less 9yes i love the model but it may disapear from my rares and pop up in my lords intstead) As two cannons mess it up, its still very fragile and though you want to send it against monsters due to all that poisen it will still have a very hard time against a Hydra or HPA

Whats wrong with dual hw? You get that nice extra attack with +S and since boyz dont cost much, it´s no problem to lose "a couple". You give up on the 5+save and 6+ parry but well, that´s why you take more boyz.

Looks great, though i dont see a true hammer in your list i still like it

The savage orcs make a really good hammer. Strength 5 with 3 attacks on the charge till frenzy is broken? Sounds deadly, even if it gets bogged down.

That being said, I am concerned that the Savage boys need a priest carrying the shruken head, doubling the effects of their ward save makes them alround tougher, in and out of melee. Even if it's quite litrally a level 1 chucked in there.

Also, no rare choices? Such as manger squigs?
