Can't find it in the codex
Can a Vendetta trade 2 TWLC for 2 Multiple Rocket Pods INSTEAD of the 2 Hellfury Missles?

If you look at the Vendetta entry on page 101 (I think that was the page) of the IG codex it tells you what can you replace with what. If it does not say that you may replace the lascannons with the pods then you can't. Don't have my codex close at the moment.

Why is that not allowed? Afterall, a Valkerie and a Vendetta are the same model of ship, they just have different weapons loadouts, so why not?

Actually, they are different models who happen to look almost the same. It's like Rhinos, Razorbacks, Predators and Vindicators. They are all Rhinos modelwise, but one has a big gun, one has a turret and sponsons, and one has a siege shield and a hull mounted cannon.

Danpieri and jimdah; you are both correct, and Both wrong at the same time.

The answer is right in between: they are 2 Models of Ship built off the Same Chassis(Just like all the Rhino Chassis, make the different Tanks, the Same Chimrea Chassis makes most of the IG vehicles, and the Same Land Raider Chassis makes the 3 main Raider variants).

the point is defines Ship Model Battlefield roles. If you want a Bird with a Lascannon and Rocket pods, you can do that with the Valkyrie(although that still confuses it's role).

I do not like the missiles on Either bird, because both Missiles are the exact opposite of it's standard nose gun's role(Although the Valk gets a Pass in that it can have a lascannon and 2 Hellstrike missiles).
