'Ello folks.

I got back into wargamming a coupla years ago, but life being life, other things got in the way and I never really got to do much. Things are slightly different now and I'm slowly getting some work done on a few projects so I figured if I started a thread over here, it might keep me interested enough to actually finish something that I've started.

At the moment I'm working on a 'mostly' non GW Imperial Guard force, and a Heavy Gear Northern Force. I have some Infinity stuff I need to get workin on for meself and my wife, but the thought of painting all those bright colours scares the bejaysus outta me.

Anyways... a few pics. Bear in mind I'm a hideous painter and my photography skills leave a lot to be desired.

First couple of IG infantry. Warzone minis with Pig Iron heads. Think the power fist is stolen from an old Terminator. S'prolly why its much too big.

Few shots of my first Russ. The barrel isnt glued in cos I need to make one that looks more Russ-y. Needs a front mounted heavy bolter and a hatch built too. Cos 1/48 hatches just give the game away.

And my first Heavy Gear mech. I think I went a tad overboard making him look beat up. Might have to give this guy a repaint.

Anyways. Tear apart as you see fit. I probably deserve it!

Cheers

Dave

Don't be so hard on yourself Dave , I think they look pretty good - I love the heads and I like the details on the tank but the turret does need to be a lot bigger, without making the tank look silly, tricky.

Good luck with the Infinity minis

Nice. The KV1 looks great with those guys. I think the turret size is fine but a 76mm gun is a bit small for the 40k universe. The Russ models have ludicrusly gigantic main guns.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity lasts forever.

Considering also your duty as a warrior you should not waver. Because there is nothing more auspicious for a warrior than a righteous war.

Thanks for the replies folks, I really appreciate all feedback.

So, just a quicky. Does this look a little more like 40K scale? Obviously it needs trimmed down a tad and requires some detailing, but I think its there or thereabouts?

Cheers

I actually like the PF on the warzone sergeant! What are you planning for your Northern Heavy Gear force?
