Hello and welcome to all who have stumbled across this Blog. As the title suggests my Ork army is going to have a lot of Gasmasks, Chainsaws, and different kinds of Looted Wagons / Vehicles.
Please feel free to leave any comments / questions as I really appreciate the feedback.

This Ork army will be "GOFFS" and will be lead by the mighty prophet of the Waaagh "Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka". My vision of this Ork army will have the traditional black and white checks and the occasional patch of red as Goffs should, however I am only going to paint these sections very selectively and will have the majority of the models without any checks or red sections.

To start with I have converted the Citadel Finecast "Ghazghkull Thraka" model by adding some Forgeworld Ork plates to his belly area (makes him about 6mm taller) and have repositioned his arms so that they are up instead of the traditional arms down pose. The two large horns next to his head have been positioned a little differently and I have sculpted some green stuff to hide the gaps around the arms and the electrical wires.

There are many little flaws that I have noticed with this Finecast model such as the weird line that runs across his large metal jaw, I have cleaned up the model a little bit but decided to leave a lot of the areas as they are and call it "battle damage". Who knows the finished, painted model might even look better with the supposed "battle damage".

The end result that I was trying to achieve was to have the model looking like it had its arms raised in the air about to smash them down onto the enemy below.

I have primed "Thraka" in Army Painter Colour Primer (Plate Mail Metal) which I will be doing to majority of the models to help speed up the painting process.

Thanks bigmek35, The pose that "Thraka" has is similar to the artwork in the Ork Codex on page 9 and page 22.

I am going to have to check closer to see the iregularities that accompany a finecast model. Looks good for now though.

Thanks sennacherib, maybe I am being fussy but you can possibly see what I am talking about on the first photo. (there is a weird line / crack that runs through the center of the big metal jaw). As I said though I am trying to put a positive spin on it and say that it is battle damage. To be honest I think that once painted it could possibly make him look meaner anyway.

One thing that I forgot to mention is that I have purchased some "Armorcast Muzzle Flashes" which I will be adding to both of the barrels on "Ghazghkulls" Big Shoota as soon as they arrive in the mail.
"Ghazghkull" will be accompanied by an Ammo Runt which is the model that is included with the GW Ork Nobz pack and will be riding in a Battlewagon with his retinue of Ork Nobz ( in 'Eavy Armour ).

The Nobz in 'eavy armour are being mucked about with at present and are made with "GW Black Orc" bodies, arms and legs with the "Forge World ( NOB ) Kommando" Gasmasked Head which is the one that has two round filter pod sections coming out of the base of the Gasmask. Lastly they will have a selection of "GW Nob" weapons and some will have the "GW Nob" arms including the weapons instead of the "GW Black Orc" arms (to give them a little variety).
Some of the Nobz will have Chainsaws, ( both hands used on chainsaw will count as "Big Choppa" / single hand used on chainsaw will count as "Choppa" and models will have a "Slugga" in the other hand ).
The "GW Black Orc" legs will have the short swords / knifes removed and will be replaced with stikkbombz.

There will be much "Fluff" and "Storytelling" to accompany this here Blog. (Hopefully it will explain some of the madness that lies herein).
Chainsaws and Gasmasks will be explained.

Here is "Ghazghkull's" Ammo Runt. (primed in white).

This is the First Nob in 'Eavy Armour wearing a Gasmask. (primed in silver).

I really like the Spiked Club that comes with the "GW Black Orcs" so couldn't resist using it on this guy. (counts as Big Choppa).

I am planning on posing the main body sections of some of these Nobz in 'Eavy Armour in different types of poses that may have not been tried before. (some will be twisting around, some will be leaning forward / hunched with others leaning back slightly). It should hopefully give the units of Nobz in 'Eavy Armour a lot more variety to their overall look. I might even include a unit of Nobz in 'Eavy Armour that have the "StikkBombz" in their hands rather than glued onto their waists.

The Next Nob in 'Eavy Armour will be wearing the same style Gasmask but will be wielding a Chainsaw.

Here are a couple of group photos to show the size comparison between "Ghazghkull" and his Ammo Runt and also the first Nob in 'Eavy Armour.
I will have 10 Nobz in 'Eavy Armour as "Ghazghkull's" retinue and they will all ride in his Battlewagon.
