Well, if you've ever heard of it, or seen me mention it, it's a series of side scrolling shooter games for the PC from japan. Initially, it started in the late 90's, but as of now, these past 5 years, it's slowly picked up. And in the last year, after the video "bad apple" was shown on CNN, the mcRoll( a viral video of the japanese ronald mcdonald commercials, edited, and set to the theme song "UN owen was her" from the touhou games) it has picked up ground, being a series of independant games created by a man named ZUN, a freelance game designer, and inspiring japanese groups like IOSYS, soundholic, and innocent key, the series became one made specifically for the fans, and as time progressed, along with the fan's stories, the backgrounds of the characters evolved. For a most part, in the games, you play as a shrine maiden named reimu hakurei, or a witch named marisa kirisame, as you go out on a quest of some sort.

Just a heads up, the touhou wiki has moved to http://touhouwiki.net . This is where people are "sharing their information" now, and the wiki at wikia is no longer updated. It may seem like it's alive, but that's because some jerk hijacked it from the old admin.

Never played the game, my reflexes are too bad to play a bullet-storm game.
They are kinda tricky, I had to play on easy the first time, lunatic mode is the hardest though.

The trick is to pay attention to the bullets, not your opponent....
(At least that's how i play these games.... sometimes i even manage to beat the first level. )
That's the best way, butl I hate facing tewi in imperishable night, she shoots rows of bullets that are hard to dodge. In shoot the bullet, all you have to do is dodge the bullets, then take 5 pictures to beat them, games with aya shameimaru as a main character are usually for people who aren't talented, like me :(
