Greetings! This is the first battle report I’ve written in just over a year. I hope you enjoy it.

This is the 7th time I used this list after changing from a 3 Battlewagon list I’ve been playing since 2009.
In 5 out of 7 games I’ve tabled my opponent and in the other 2 I was able to destroy at least 80% of the opposing forces. I changed lists and dropped all my Nobz when the Grey Knights codex came out. The other list was doomed to failure against Grey Knights and a lot of the other players had gotten used to it as well.

HQ
180 Wazdakka
100 Big Mek with KFF, Cybork, Bosspole

Elites
75 Lootas x 5
75 Lootas x 5
75 Lootas x 5

Troops
165 Bikerboyz x4 with Nob, Power Klaw, Bosspole
165 Bikerboyz x4 with Nob, Power Klaw, Bosspole
140 Bikerboyz x3 with Nob, Power Klaw, Bosspole
180 Boyz x19 with 2 Rokkits, Nob, Power Klaw, Bosspole (Red Mob)
180 Boyz x19 with 2 Rokkits, Nob, Power Klaw, Bosspole (Yellow Mob)
180 Boyz x19 with 2 Rokkits, Nob, Power Klaw, Bosspole (Orange Mob)

Heavy Support
100 Deff Dread with 2 Rokkits, Grot Riggers
100 Deff Dread with 2 Rokkits, Grot Riggers
135 Killa Kanz with Grotzookas

Essentially a Kan wall list minus most of the Kanz. Why? I only have 3 and I have 2 dreads. I like this list because it nullifies a lot of the opponents’ anti-mech capability and has a lot of shoots. I also love bikes.

This list has 14 Str. 8, up to 45 Str. 7, 6 Str. 6 small blast templates, 42 twin-linked Str. 5, and 55 Str. 4 shots per turn. Most of those are shorter range weapons but this list is designed to take a lot of punishment while moving to cover the board. Everything in the list gets cover, assuming placing Lootas in area terrain, and the way I play, the AP values of the my weapons are meaningless since I assume my opponent gets cover 100% of the time.

This is the 4th out of 6 weeks for this league cycle.

Mission was annihilation Pitched Battle. We roll off and my opponent wins and defers first turn. True line of sight for the little terrain we have and the felt piece count as 4+ shooting in or through.
My deployment is very standard with the Big Mek in the center mob of boyz with another mob on each side. Up front we have the 3 Kanz and a Deff Dred on each side. Lootas are deployed on and/or in terrain. One mob of 5 bikes on the right, the second on the left with Waz attached, and the mob of 4 to his immediate left. BTW the Biker with the WA666H Banner is my count-as Waz.

His deployment. (Sorry about the blurry pics, my iPhone usually takes much better pictures )
On his far left is his SoB Razorback with a command squad inside. To their right are 6 jump troops, than a D6 shot Ordnance Pipe Organ, Rhino with foot troops, another Pipe Organ in the background, and finally some Heavy Bolter Bitches on the roof looking to get some Loota kills if I’m not mistaken. Half off the picture is another Rhino with troops.

He is the only SoB player I know. I’ve played against him before and he has a lot of craziness due to Faith Points. It’ll be interesting. He does not try to steal the initiative.

Turn 1

I move everything up Turbo Boosting all the bikes on the left and 12” on the right. The bikes on the right take out a couple of the jumpers. My Lootas roll awesomely and immobilize his command squad razorback, shake and immobilize his Pipe Organ. The left Dred’s Rokkits manage to kill one of his Dev squad, a sergeant or something, not one holding a HB.

On the left Waz rolls 3 1’s and a 2 to hit, very common for him. I snuck all my bikes behind the building away from his HB Ladies. I manage to do nothing to the 3 vehicles on his right with my bikes or Lootas.

His 1st turn sees him moving up the Jump Chicks and killing 3 bikes on my right most squad.

On his right he dumps out the troops broads and they have a couple of flamers. Between poor rolling to hit with his bolters, poor rolling to wound with everything, and great cover and armor saves, I lose no bikes in the smaller squad!! He also fails to wound Waz’ biker mob. We are both stunned but only one of us are happy about it. The following picture is after his shooting phase! Off screen he uses his HB ladies to kill 4 Orks from Yellow Mob.

My 2nd turn

The Bikes on my left swarm around his Rhino, Razorback, and Pipe Organ. Waz is all set to take on the organ by himself. Both Biker Mobz shoot the SoB and then multi-charge with Waz on the rear armor 10 vehicle that did not move the prior turn, my Nob with Waz taking on his heavy flamer Razorback on the lower right, and the rest of the Biker Boyz and the smaller Mob of 4 taking on the sisters. This next pic. is right before assault begins, I wreck his Pipe Organ, explode his Razorback, and kill most of his sisters while only losing 2 bikes. Whatever doesn’t die flees and runs off the board.

And after right before his Razorback explodes

On my right side my Lootas wreck his other Pipe Organ and his other Rhino. The Bikes shoot 2 more Jump Sisters and then charge. This is where the pain begins for the Orks. At this point he will give his sisters a 3+ Inv. save for the rest of the game due to faith points. Really annoying! Right after this picture he jumps his 2 sisters out with Hit and Run right towards my beloved Lootas!! And that squad also has flame template weapons. Oh noes!!!

See how close they got? Yikes!

His Second turn he forgets to move his Jump Sisters inline to fry my Lootas on top of the building but still hits and wounds 4 of them. The single Loota passes Ld though. I find the Mobz of 5 pass Ld. more often the Mobz of 10 or 15? The squad in the exploded Razorback flames and shoots my bikes and I lose 3 biker boyz and take a wound on Waz. Then he assaults Waz’ bikes! I thought he was nuts but his 3+ Inv. saves him again, he passes all his saves.

Start of Turn 3

Orange mob on the right veers away from the group to take out the 2 Jump And Fry Sisters. Everyone else goes up and to the left towards the HB sisters on the building. The Grotzookas open up and get 4 hits on that nice tight grouping. In the next picture you can see the building is clear. My 2 bikes on the right zoom towards his troops and my Lootas wail on his command squad, reducing their numbers. I love their toughness 3, Loota fire causes ID! My last to bikes on the upper left join the melee just behind the building. This pic is just before the assaults begin.

Here's another view showing the smaller squad of 2 can just fit into the battle!

As you can see though, things don’t go as planned! I have 3 power klaws in this fight against 5 sisters, yet once again they all pass their 3+ Inv. saves!! I take my only wound on Waz and he dies (moral victory for opponent) and the smaller mob of 2 bikes fail Ld, fail reroll (but pass armor save for bosspole at least) and flee a very short 3D6 from the battle! Grrrr. At least they can regroup because they only started as 4. Got to love MSU! BTW the black felt represents difficult terrain from his exploded Razorback.

On the right side my mob of 2 bikes assaults his other 5 remaining troop sisters. His leader has a power weapon, hits 3 times and rolls 3 1’s to wound!!! I think this picture was so fuzzy because I was so excited! I end up taking out 3 of the sisters and we are still locked in combat.

Well, my celebration is short lived because during his assault phase my Biker Nob in that same assault hits 3 times and rolls 3 1’s to wound!!!! Not so much fun when it happens to you! His Command squad remnants are coming to their sister’s rescue with my ancient Dred trying to get in on the act. The heroic last stand approaches.

Start of turn 4.
Everything in my army which isn’t on the extreme left closes in on this epic battle in the center of the board. Everything that can fire (including the Grotzookas which one is being worn as a hat by a Kan for some reason) fire at his command squad toasting it. One does scatter (probably the hat one) on the bike and 2 sisters in close combat but everyone passes their saves. At some point I also destroy his remaining 2 rhinos.

On my left side my bikes are escorting the ladies off the board but for whatever reason I do not assault assuming they can’t regroup. Well guess what, they can!

And they do at the start of his 4th turn. The shoot and assault my Bikes.

Start of 5 and end of game. My Army surrounds the 2 sisters which have survived round after round with my Nob with PK due to their 3+ Inv. Also the other 2 bikes catch up and assault the ladies who weren’t ready to quit yet.

His sisters manage to kill some boyz of Orange Mob who snuck in and one of the Biker Boyz. Otherwise that’s all. My iPhone numbered this next picture as 187 and that’s what this was. I lost about 400 points, mostly Waz, to his 1850.

Wrap up.
This battle was pretty much text book at what this list does well. The bikes run fast interference while the horde catches up firing Rokkits along the way. My only suggestion for my opponent, besides going first if you can, is he might want to deep strike those Jump ladies considering there are 2 flame templates in that unit of six. Also, we need more terrain. I special ordered the 2 tower set from the planet invasion add-on, hopefully they’ll get here soon. Also, sorry about not posting his list. It was 4 pages handwritten on 2 pieces of paper and I doubt my camera on my phone would have picked it up anyways. He also had horrid luck.

A fellow Ork player donated a box of bits and 3 Deff Koptas to my Waaagh and so I just want to belch out an Orky thank you but I didn’t ask his permission to use his name on the internet so I’ll just say thanks.

Just skipped to the end and I knew how this one would turn out. The WH deployment was terrible. The whole army was spread across the table. He needs to hide and take some pot shots with Exorcists to blow a Deff Dread or 2 and make you come to him.

Since you are spread h should have deployed with a refused flank, Exorcists in front since the best a Loota can do is shake one (even with 3 shots each 45 shots hitting on 5/6's is 15 hits, 3 glances).

I really enjoyed reading a bat-rep involving an atypical orkz list. As an ork player myself who likes to think outside the box, I found your list inspiring.

Also, nice work with the old school bikers, I picked up a few on ebay and I love how goofy they look.

I've decided to play 40K because of all the statistics problems I'll get to solve and all the spreadsheets I'll get to make.

Thanks for the comments.

@calypso2ts LOL You're right about knowing how it would end up. I have no Idea why he spread out AND gave me first turn.

@DeepBeige Yeah I love the old models and am too cheap to buy new ones. You can't see it well in the pics but all the non-nob bikers except one have a pistol in their right arms. They were from my boyz who I converted to Lootas using IG Missiles Launchers.

I switched up the list since everyone is tooled up to destroy vehicles. Don't underestimate the MSU bike units, too many of my opponents have and regretted it. Only one of the 3 units needs to get through to cause some massive damage to high point back field units!

Yeah, the SoB player didn't present much of a challenge, so the tabling is no surprise.

I wonder if SabrX or another SoB player would be able to cypher through the pix and get a good idea of what his list was, and whether or not it was any good.

From what I can make out

Exorcist - One?! THREE is the minimum. Ever.

Seraphim squad??? I can see the reasoning behind this, give them a pair of hand flamers and you get a lot of toasted orkz. They aren't that bad in CC either and can jump out if need be.

A Razorback?! I'm assuming he's used some form of allied WH list which is in my opinion, not cool or great.

SoB should do well against Orkz nearly all the time - I haven't played against them with my SoB but I wouldn't be nervous.

Hyperbole. People can play with other lists. In fact, Immo spam doesn't often use Exos. He has two, btw.

Seraphim are used a fair bit in 'balanced' lists despite their high points cost.

He means Immolators.

2 Exorcists
Immolator
Celestians with Canoness
6 Seraphim
Retributors (Heavy Bolters)
2x Rhino with Sisters

That's my Guess. Certainly not the worst list ever. The deployment on the other hand. Ugh.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Okay, ignoring the giving up first turn business...

After you deployed, I would have refused flank and deployed on your left behind the big building. Bikers hate heavy flamers and would have died horribly if they advanced. Then it is just a matter of dropping your lootas and piece-mealing your army as it walks across the board. Should have been an easy win for SOB.

Thank you for the list supplement.

Bikers do hate the Heavy Flamers except when he can't roll to wound as in this case. I usually run the bikes to extinction and was quite happy they survived as long as they did.

Luck was on my side no doubt.

Did i read that right? SoB player won the roll and decided not to start? Why? Just to be able to deploy last? And he didn't try to steal the initiative....

Against a walking force, it isn't a bad idea, but then you would refuse flank them and probably try to seize. He just didn't do that, which was a bit crazy.
