Recently i went to Texas on vacation and while at the rental car desk i saw a preferred customers board. On it was the name Larkin. no I'm not joking and no unfortunately i do not have pictures, but apparently when a certain tanith sniper needs to rent some wheels he chooses Avis. so this brings me to the question Who else has seen names and immediately thought of a 40k character?

Actually, Larkin immediately made me think about a character from a cartoon named Andy Larkin. Then I remembered it's a 40k thread

Larkin is the last name of the provost of my town's local college. Pretty sure it's possible he would qualify for a venerable dreadnaught...

My old gym teacher was named Holt *BLAM* COMMISSAR Holt! And yes, he was terrifying at all hours of the day. Also had an epic mustache, but the effect was somewhat lost on me considering I'm a foot and a half taller than him.

How odd, I also know a girl who's last name is Dorn. Well, knew her, haven't seen her since high school, and that was... well, a long time ago.

I saw a Dodge Neon with a bumper sticker that said "My other vehicle is a Leman Russ" or something to that effect. I wanted him to be my new best friend lol

I watched Paul Blart Mall Cop last week and the main villain's name is Veck, so for the first 10 minutes of the conflict I thought Asdrubael Vect was taking people hostage in a mall

There was, in fact, a Baneblade hidden inside the food delivery truck.

Well I used to play WoW and in WotLK one of the last bosses of a dungeon is named Loken, It always made me think of Garviel Loken from the first 3 HH novels.

My last name's "Russ". When I make a purchase at GW, and the manager asks for my last name, I say "Russ, like Leman."
