Hey guys, Im making this thread to possibly gather ideas of all tyranid players for how they keep themselves motivated in painting hordes upon hordes of of our much beloved bugs, what do you guys to keep things interesting and fun when building/painting your nids?

I'll start off by contributing an idea I thought up a couple hours ago, was possibly making bases comprising of a few or more gaunts to make " Mini -Dioramas" to add the already "cinematic" appeal of tyranids and it would definitely add more of a chance to do specialised bases.

I'd love to hear from you guys, and what you guys do

I do this.

To be honest I bought a battleforce box back in 2002 and I finished it last January. I took a long break mind you. I couldn't stand painting the bugs over and over and over. But once I simply dry brushed bleached bone on primed black then painted armour and claws red. Then wash with purple.

I myself am going to invest in some army painter, for easy Hive fleet kraken lol

@DoomThumbs, man I've checked out ur stuff weeks before, really great stuff it made me laugh, and very inspiration.

@SkyCapt, I myself still have a battleforce to build myself haha.

What I forgot to mention in my first post about my idea was that putting a few gaunts on larger size bases will also create somewhat of a "Movement tray" effect which would lead to faster gameplay and convenience.
