had a game with my daughter at our local friendly Games workshop last week-end. It was quite enjoyable so I thought I share it. Sorry no Pics
My daughter is 9 and we have both been into this hobby for around 9 months now.
To make things interesting (read to ensure i don't accidently kill wipe her out) she fielded 805 points and put up 780 (was supposed to be 750 but I put in an extra Nob).
HQ Space Marine Captain with Power-sword
Troop 1 – 10 man Tactical Squad with a Missile launcher
Troop 2 – 10 man Tactical Squad with a Flamer
Elite 1 – 5 Man terminator Squad 1 power sword and 4 power fists
Elite 2 – Venerable dreadnought – With to close combat weapons, Flamer, mutli-melta and 2 X hunter killer missiles

Def Eatas
HQ – Warboss – Power Klaw, Twin linked Shoota Eavy Armour & Cyborg Body
Troop 1 – 6 Hard Nobz including Pain Boy, 1 X Powerklaw & Multi-schocha, the rest of the Nobz had big choppers
Troop 2 – 30 Shoota Boys – I Knob with Power Klaw and a boss poll, 3 Big Shootas.
Elite – 4 Lootas and a mek.
Heavy Support – 3 Killa Kans – 1X Rokkit Launcha, 1 X grotzooka, 1 X Schocha.
The Mission was annihilation, the deployment was Pitched Battle. Emily got to go first as she rolled higher than I.
I rolled to seize the initiative and fail.
Bunnies Turn 1 – Emily moves everything up except the squad with the missile launcher. The dreadnought fires off both hunter-killer missiles – one misses and one wrecks the Killa Kan with the Rokkit Launcha. The missile launcher fires in to the Kan, but the missile bounces off, barely scratching the paint. Emily decides to run the Flamer squad, captain and Termies.
Def Eatas Turn 1 – All run except the Lootas who fire in to Flamer tactical squad and take out one space marine.
Bunnies turn 2 – Emily moves everything except the launcher squad. The flamer squad fires into the Lootas and kills a Loota, the Termies fire at the Boys and take out about 5. The dreadnought fires his multi melta at the Kans and destroys one with a big kaboom and also puts a wound on one of the Nobz which the pain boy promptly fixes. The Space Marine with the Missile Launcher fires at the last remaining Kan and misses.
Def Eatas Turn 2 – The Warboss angry that two of his Kans have decided to go kaboom, roars an almighty WAARGH!!, The shoota boys run straight into the termies, they manage to kill one but lose four Boys in the process. However life is cheap when you’re an orc and the brawl continued. The Warboss lost in the moment of his rage takes his Nobz headlong into the dreadnought. Not his brightest of moments as his attacks fly wild. The nobs can’t even shake the darn thing and a nob dies in the process.
While the orcs were dying, the kan fired his grotzooka at the Missile Launcher squad and misses both shots. The Lootas were more successful as they take out a Space marine from the Flamer squad.
Bunnies turn 3 – The flamer squad moves towards the Lootas and fire two lootas die. Distraught at the site of 8 angry space marines and their captain advancing thier way, the Lootas and mek decide to leg-it. The missile launcher fires at the Kan; the missile was a dud as it bounced off the Kan with a hollow resounding thud.
The termies bravely fighting off the purple and blue horde, killing boys apleanty, however they lost a comrade whilst doing so. The dreadnought fighting magnificently stops all the vicious blows and kills another Nob with his mighty warrior skills.
Def Eatas turn 3 – The Lootas stop from their retreat and see no one is following and decide to turn back to have a look at what happened to those who were chasing them. The last remaining Kan fires off a volley at the Squad with the Missile launcher and kills one Space marine. The Boys finally manage to bring down the last three Termies and lose four boys in the process; the Boys don’t really care about that sort of thing and run straight towards the next fight: the Flamer Squad and the captain. Meanwhile the Warboss his having no such luck, his blows are wild and lack strength. The big Choppers of the Nobs are worse. Luckily for the Orcs no one dies, this time.
Bunnies Turn 4 – The Missile launcher squad are getting nervous as the last remaining kan advances towards them. The marine with missile launcher says a quick prayer to the emperor as he line his sight and blows the last Kan to smithereens.
The captain sees the Blue and Purple horde advance towards them orders the squad to stand fast and fire into the oncoming onslaught. Bolts and Flames pour into 18 Orks only 4 come out alive.
The dreadnought is still holding of the Warboss and the Nobz well and kills another Nob. The Warboss is still determined to fight, he might not be all that bright but he is no coward.
Def Eatas Turn 4 – The Warboss is still fighting like Gretchen with a limb missing. He is thinking maybe he should have stayed home and kicked things instead. The mêlée is long and wild punches are thrown. Nothing happens, the Warboss decides when he gets home he is going to cut off the heads of some of his useless Nobz.
The last remaining Boys thought about running back to where they came from, but there are Space Marines in their way so they charge in regardless. A very bold move indeed!! Unfortunately this move was more stupid than brave as the captain and his proud space marines did away with the green beasts quickly without as much as breaking a sweat.
The Lootas advance towards the Captain and his Squad, see what just happened and say some words which can’t be repeated in polite company.
Bunnies turn 5 – The Captains sees the Lootas orders his boys to turn around advance and shoot, they take out two Lootas. The last remaining Mek turns and run as he see there isn’t going to be any looting going on today.
The Squad with the missile launcher stop and take account of the situation, watching with both pride and awe as the dreadnought rips the Warboss into two with his deadly claws of steel. The Nobz say some choice words and decide to leg-it. However the dreadnought decides that cowards should be taught a lesson and promptly kills them all. The emperor has blessed the field, the BUNNIES HAVE WON THE DAY as there is no Green-skin left alive.
Well there was that one Mek but he ran so fast he didn’t see the unexploded mine………..
