Here is the basing job I did for my Paladin's stormraven. I apologize for the pics but the lighting in my apartment is not that good.

C&C welcome! ENJOY!

My only problem with this model is a general problem I have with grey knights: they are supposed to be grey not silver, which seems to be commonplace amongst players. That aside, very nice looking model and the base is impressive

The Grey Knights novels talks frequently about how their armour is Boltgun coloured.

Quite an epic stormraven base... possibly the most expensive too!

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

Thanks guys! I actually got the rhino from a dakka user in the swap shop for cheaper. I have thought about having the door on the side open and trying to model a GK shooting out of it. The doors are not glued on so I can still do it!

@Mechanized,

The old GW instructions on painting GK's has them being painted boltgun metal. While I agree that Grey would probly look better I simply am not a great painter and have found the boltgun metal to be very easy to paint with and get a good finish.

Fair one pdawg, perhaps try using a light badab black wash or a matt effect varnish to take the shiny out of it a little. As I said very impressive job regardless

Thanks for the suggestions. I think it is showing as really shiny because I had to use the flash so that I could get a good picture of the base. My apartment lighting is not very good. I may go back and hit it with some more blue was to give it that metallic look that the GW guys do.
