When I finally get to the point I can afford to spend again (may not be a while) I think I want to get into Infinity. I'm torn between Yu Jing and Nomads but I like the minis in the Imperial Service starter pack best of all the starters available. So, some questions:

How do they play? They look rather elite.
Is there any problem with using them as the starter for my army, but eventually broadening it with some Japanese models into a general Yu Jing army as I expand?

ARMY CODE: Army Infinity v.3.0.

When you play the generic Yu Jing Army (non-sectorial) you will be allowed only to field 2 of the 3 Celestial Guards, because the AVA (Availability) of the Celestial Guards is 2.

If you buy the Japanese Sectorial Army Starter Pack to build a Yu Jing Army.

Wow, thanks for all the help.

I know a lot of this stuff is out there, but tracking it down and knowing what I'm looking at is a bigger trick than I thought it would be.

Yu Jing has a lot of great elite troops. One of the things I like about Infinity, that I don't really like about a game like 40k is that an elite soldier is a true monster on the table.

Take the Hac Tao for instance. He is completely invisible, has armor that is only beaten by giant robots, and has one of the highest shooting skills in the game. You give him an HMG and he will own an entire table quarter by himself.

This is one of the reasons why I play Yu Jing, they definitely have that elite feel, though you can still play them with lots of grunts.

Also monsterous creatures, warjacks, etc in most games look intimidating from a view standpoint but if you know the rules they aren't overly scarey.... TAGs however earn their fear 100%. They have means to take them down, but it still isn't going to be easy.
