Can the Fateweaver shoot 3 of the same spells in one shooting phase, such as 3 bolts of change at the same target or even multi targeted.

This should be in YMDC.

BRB Faq 1.3 page 3 - states that no psyker may attempt to cast the same power more than once per turn unless specifically allowed by the power itself.

No in the daemons book it says you cannot shoot the same ability more than once. So I've always done it as bolt at a vehicle and then breathe of chaos and gaze at an infantry target.

Unless there's a special rule for Fateweaver I'm not aware of, you can't do this. All shots must be made at the same target unit.

Edit: It appears Fateweaver has a special rule that I wasn't aware of. Thanks to calypso for pointing it out.

Fateweaver has the "We Are Legion" special rule so he can shoot at any number of different targets (and then assault any of them as well!).

Also, no powers Fateweaver have are psyker powers, so the FAQ really does not apply. That said, you can fire a weapon once, and those Daemonic Gifts like Bolt, Warpfire, Breath of Chaos, Gaze, et cetera count as firing a weapon.

Remember, you fire all simultaneously so no being cheeky and blowing a transport with Bolt and Breathing the guys that get out!

My bad disregard my answer. Just with the way the OP referred to the gifts as being spells I didn't even bother to check the 'dex.

Also, Monstrous creatures can fire 2, Master of Sorcery allows for a 3rd ability to be used. Also, fyi, he can charge any of the units. Including a unit that had to disembark from a vehicle that he destroys. So, gogo mass hysteria!

What do you mean the FAQ does not apply? Wouldn't that mean he can shoot 3 powers (in other words shoot 3 times?) as in he can shoot 3 of any spell at any target?

That would be like a wraithlord shooting his Brightlance twice since it is a MC and can fire two weapons.

The Bolt, Breath and Gaze are shooting attacks that are not psychic powers, which is why the FAQ which only deals with using the same psycich power twice in a turn.

Canned - there is a recent BRB FAQ about not using hte same psychic power twice or more.

However you cannot fire the same weapon twice in one turn. So you can only fire each weapon once, so the three weapons he has are fired once each at up to 3 targets.
