I couldn't find anything on this, I checked the FAQ but couldn't find anything there either; so here is my question.

As it states in the Blood Angels codex:

Wings of Sanguinius:

This power is used in the librarian's movement phase and lasts for the rest of the turn. It allows the Librarian to move as if he had a jump pack. A Librarian riding a bike that uses the Wings of Sanguinius moves as if he were riding a jet bike.

Ok, so my question is this. If I give my librarian terminator armor, can I put him in a squad of Assault Marines and run him around with terminator armor?

Need a clue? Check the sprue.

Sure, why not? There's nothing in the rules that prohibits that. Keep in mind that he won't be able to use any other power (unless you shell out for Epistolary, pretty risky for a 2 wound model), plus the whole squad can only move 6" if he fails the test or if Wings gets Hooded.

I took Wings when I only had a 500 point army, since I couldn't afford a Jump Pack. It really sucked not being able to use another power.

Current Record: 5 Wins, 6 Draws, 3 Losses 2000 points

In Progress: 500 points

Look in the rulebook under walkers, and note how many weapons it says they can fire.

As many as it usually can, same as jump infantry can fire after moving 12".

it doesn't say it may shoot as jump infantry, just move. non-fast vehicles may not fire weapons if they move over 6".

IIRC dreads can always move and shoot since they are a walker, regardless of the limitiations on vehicle movement.

Back to the libby, the Assault squad cannot Sweeping Advance when he is attached either.

It's not moving at cruising speed, it's moving as jump infantry so has all the associated rules of jump infantry that turn. A dreadnought may always fire all of it's weapons unless it says otherwise even when it deepstrikes, but since it's already used it's psychic power by moving 12" it's limited to firing just the storm bolter/heavy flamer.

Sponge - no, it IS moving at cruising speed (assuming over 6") as it is a vehicle; the fact it is doing so because it is ALSO moving as JI doesnt change anything.

However when you look up a walker you can see it has the "may always fire all its weapons" rule.

I wouldn't say it's moving at cruising speed, because it move's like infantry, if it run's it's not running at cruising speed it's just running.

Anyway that's just semantics the end result is the same.

What you "say" is irrelevant; the rules only care how fast the vehicle moves. If the vehicle moves over 6", it is moving at cruising speed. No arguments possible, its in the rules!

What i "say" IS relevant as what i "say" is based on my interpretation of the rules, whether you agree or not, and in this case it is you arguing an irrelevant point.

As far as I can understand, the only think that stops walkers from shooting normally is when they run as specified pp72 BRB.

Moving like JI is still considered normal movement for a WoS equipped Dreadnought so I can't see why this would stop them from shooting.

I wanted to shoot a lot of plasma weapons, then I realised I like blood better so I have a lot of Power Weapons.

That isnt correct. Good spot. He moves either as a bike OR as JI, but not a jet bike.

It is 100% correct, a librarian riding a bike that uses Wings of Sanguinius moves as if he were riding a jet bike. I'm staring at the entry right now.

Need a clue? Check the sprue.

I've used the wings, and it definitely states that it counts as a jet bike if he is on a bike. Agree with Marzooky. It's RIGHT in the book. If you're looking at a copy that says otherwise, yours is a fake

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
