So with the pullout of most support by GW for local tournaments and GT's have people seen the originally very restrictive only GW minis policy start to be relaxed? Waht about in the indy GT circuit? have any shock troops IG players been turned away?

Just curious as I have not been to an actual Tourney in quite a while. I remeber seeing that a abyssal Dwarf army won best army at a recent GW event at Tempest. Link http://www.manticgames.com/What-is-Mantic-Games/Shows-and-Events/David-Crabtrees-Abyssal-Dwarfs.html

I doubt it'll be much relaxed because at a tournament is exactly where you want uniformity in modeling--meltaguns are meltaguns, Lysanders are Lysanders. There's little worse for a tournament player (aside from GW's crapshoot on rules and FAQ support) than having to remember that his opponent's BARs are meltaguns, except that one squad over there with a knobby, bulbous looking siren thing, that's a plasma gun, and these Nazi zombie models are actually IG conscripts, but that half-track looking thing isn't a chimera, it's a Hydra.

It's easier to keep things consistent when everyone is using the same models. If it makes a tourney run smoother, it's gonna be done.

I think this question might belong in the Tournament forum.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
