Somewhere in the dark...

I've been looking into getting some carry cases but don't really want to spend loads. KR multicase offers some card cases - basically cases made out of what they call 'heavy duty' card. Are these any good? And importantly, is this stuff waterproof? If not, do you know whether you can paint it over with something - glue or varnish to make it waterproof? Or do I have to bite the bullet and buy plastic or aluminium?

Their line of 'Kaiser' cases hold the cardboard Multicases. I have a Kaiser 2, and 2 Multicases; they've served me well, and I would recommend them.

Where you least expect it...

I like KR. KR is compleatly ok. The good fing about cardboard is that it is lightweight, cheap and you can push in more models then what would normaly fit. I use ducktape on the eges to help wear and tear. The cardboard cases will protect ur minatures from light rain, but its not a good idea to submurge it, or anything.

Not directly in response to the question, but just to let you know my experiences: I have quite a few of the aluminium ones, and I absolutely love them. Well worth the investment, for my money.

Slightly Off Topic: I have ordered an aluminium case, and it hasn't arrived yet.
(Ordered Sunday, now Friday) What is the normal delivery time on them, as I can't find it on their site.

Within a working week, normally, so you're at the outside end there. Perhaps they're restocking.

I own an aluminium double case, and a card single case - I plan to buy more card cases as my collection expands, and I can pack the foam into the aluminium if I am going on a trip somewhere. I think the card cases are fine to carry around in a car, quite sturdy, but if I was getting around by public transport I'd prefer the aluminium.

More than happy with my two cardboard ones and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Runnin up on ya.

I've bought foam from them before. Generally, the foam is not as dense as GW or Battlefoam or even Sabol....so, yeah; inexpensive but floppy foam.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do
