Subject: Blood Angels at 1250pts?

I've been having a hard time coming up with a list for blood angels at 1250pts.
A tournament is coming up real soon and I'll be facing grey knights, Nids, and demons.
I don't want to use death company as the Genestealers and halbreds chew them up way too quickly.
What's a good 1250pt BA army list that's good to counter these threats?
Or even what's a good 1250pt Space Marine List?

One really good piece of advice is to take armour - and plenty of it. Vindicators are great against all these armies, and as you're Blood Angels, you're Fast! Being Fast will also keep you out of reach from those nasty Nids, you do have a bad habit of chewing on Armour like rubber. Lascannons are good because the Grey Knights are bound to have a Nemesis Dreadknight or two, so have a few (Dreadnoughts combine both armour and Lascannnons - Predators are a no-no, they're way to exensive with Lascannons, not worth it). In general, go shooting. These armies all outclass you in combat (for a change), so stick with ranged. Don't be afraid to take some heavies, like Land Raider Redeemers or Ball Predators - these are armoured, so won't go down easy, and will also totally destroy these armies - through expensive losses (Grey Knights), masses of kills (Nids), or both (Daemons)!

I agree with phoenix, razors with laz for shooty troops. 2 baals with heavy bolters and assault cannons.
Two pie plate lobbers and the rest on tacticle squads and a hq.

Here's my idea for a 1250 mech list:
HQ: Librarian with Shield and Blood Lance 100
TR: 5 Assault Marines with Flamer, Meltabombs Las/Plas Razorback 165
TR: 5 Assault Marines with Flamer, Meltabombs Las/Plas Razorback 165
TR: 5 Assault Marines with Flamer, Las/Plas Razorback 160
FA: HF/MM Landspeeder 70
FA: HF/MM Landspeeder 70
FA: HF/MM Landspeeder 70
HS: Vindicator with Dozer Blade 150
HS: Vindicator with Dozer Blade 150
HS: Vindicator with Dozer Blade 150
Total: 1250
I agree that Vindicators are great against the meta you're going to face. Ordinarily, I'd like Baal Predators in the FA slot, but there aren't quite enough points to get them in at 1250. If the GK player is going to mech up, you might trade Flamers and Meltabombs in the Assault Squads for Meltaguns.
Whatever you do, don't take Tactical Squads. Assault Squads in Razorbacks are better.
By the way, in a more general meta, Auto/Lascannon Predators are probably the best use of the HS slot in a mech army. Putting TL-Lascannons on the turret is too expensive though.

In some situations Tactical squads will actually preform quite a bit better.
In lower point games though Assault squads are king.

Is a Bolter really ever that much better than a Bolt Pistol + Chainsword? The problem with a Tactical Squad is that it really can't compete with a 5 man Assault Squad in a Razorback. 5 Tactical Marines in a Razorback costs 145, while 5 Assault Marines costs 120, plus the Assault Marines can take a special weapon while the Tactical Marines can't. A 10 man Tactical Squad in a Razorback costs 225, nearly double the price of the Assault Squad.

Uhg, i hate dakka sometimes.
It is completely dependant on the list my friend, and they are totally different options for different situations.
240 Points
Tactical Squad; Combi-melta, Melta, Missle Launcher in a Heavy Flamer Razorback.
Double Melta Ride in the Razorback and zoom forward to melta stuff under the support fire of the combat squads.
Add in some Devistators and a Priest or two and suddenly the enemy is staring down 60 Marines with feel no pain, and a bunch in razorbacks coming to melta him. Its Brutal.

OK, 5 Assault Marines, Meltagun, Infernus Pistol, Heavy Flamer Razorback is 125. If you feel the need for the Missile Launcher, add a unit of 5 Scouts with Snipers, Camo Cloaks and a Missile Launcher, which is better at withstanding shooting. To really make it nasty, TL-AC Razorback instead for 160.
I can understand using Tactical Marines if you have the models, but Assault Marines are usually better and the models are more flexible in a Blood Angels army if you magnetize the backpacks.

I agree with Stubby that a hoard of Tactical Marines accompanied by Sanguinary Priests can be very effective. However, as Joker58 pointed out, Razorback's can't hold 10 models, so you'd need to use Rhinos. IMO Drop Pods could also be used to great success - take 4 squads in Drop Pods, and a Furioso Dreadnought, thereby taking advantage of half the DP arriving in first turn. Just a suggestion.
