have been chucking some ideas around recently on a new aproach to Space wolves...

how does this look?

HQ:

Rune Priest w/ Storm & Tempest

Elites:

3 WG in Land Raider
3 WG in Land Raider
5 WG 1 x dual WC, 1 x TH/SS & 3 PF & Combi Melta in Land Raider

Troops:

2 x 5 GH w/ Plasgun
4 x 5 GH w/ Plasgun in Las/plasbacks

Heavy:

2 x Vindicator w/ siege shields
1 x Predator w/ TL lascannon & Lascannon Sponsons

The Rune Priest go with the tricked out WG squad in the Land Raider
The other 2 WG squads split up amongst the GH squads
The 2 unmounted GH squads mount the Land Raiders

what do people think?

i would personally switch one or even 2 of the LR to the Crusader variant. you are going to have a hard time with hordes should you face any. I would also switch the Rune priest's powers to Living Lightning and MH.That gives you possibly 6 high strength shots or 18 low strength.

I prefer the standard Land Raider because no one is going to enjoy taking out 3 AV14 vehicles with a 5+ cover save minimum (storm caller)... while dodging 13 lascannon shots a turn (7 of them TL)

although I do agree on strugling with hordes... tht is why the Vindicators are there... I was thinking of maybe using asscannons on the 'backs instead also for that reason...

Sadly this list isn't legal. You can only take one Land Raider as a dedicated Transport for Wolf Guard.

Earlier this morning I was contemplating a 2500 point list using 4 Land Raiders that could work...I may post that later on to give you an idea of what to do.

12 models Power Armor, 6 Terminator.

14 or 7 if Termies

Only Land Raider that carries more than 12 is the Crusader and that has a capacity for 16 Power Armor or 8 Terminators...

hmmmmmm....

let me get back to the drawing board then... I am liking the idea of a LR Spam army more and more...
