I think it must be 100%!!!!!!!

I literally fail EVERY TIME I try to cast a psychic power when I am fighting with my eldar friend. That gak is so obnoxious, does anyone have the mathhammer for it?

If Runes of Warding are what I think they are, then I might could help. I crunched this math because I play a Space Marine list and one of our local players loves running Eldar. Runes of Warding make you roll 3d6 for your psyker powers, yes? In that event, your odds of rolling a 10 or under on 3d6 are exactly 50/50. Your odds of facing a Perils of the Warp test are roughly 6% normally, and jump to 14% with that Eldar power in effect. Assuming of course, that I understand that power correctly.

I would expect perils to be much higher, you suffer it on any roll of 12 or above. Can't do the math ATM.

Eldar Corsairs: 4000 pts
Imperial Guard: 4000 pts

Corregidor 700 pts
Acontecimento 400 pts

My bad. Thought it happened on any roll of snake eyes or boxcars, not twelve plus. Factoring in rolls of twelve plus as well as rolls of snake eyes, it comes to a 46% chance of suffering a Perils of the Warp result, although I hardly claim to be infallible. If I'm wrong, someone feel free to correct me.

You will get Perils with probability .375. You only Perils when you roll 12+, since you can't roll 2 on three dice.

Fun fact: You will roll 9, 10, 11 or 12 almost 50% of the time.

Current Record: 5 Wins, 6 Draws, 3 Losses 2000 points

In Progress: 500 points

Well, the law of averages were most definitely not in my favor during my last game, out of about 10 psychic powers I perils on I think 7.

Once again, my bad. I thought that you suffered a Perils test on any roll in which two or more dice came up 1's. My bad. Well, there you go though, real numbers. 50-50 chance to fail, 37.5% chance to suffer a Perils test.

Does that effect go away if you kill the Eldar who's causing it?
