Subject: How are wazzdakka armies? Good?

Hey. I was thinking about a Wazzdakka army. I think it could be good, but I'm not sure. One thing I like is that you could field a fast army with zero vehicles. Anti-tank would be wasted. Another thing is that it's actually NOT nessesary to field the KFF. You could field 4 mobs of warbikers, Wazzdakka, and 3 big squads of Deffcoptas for an extremely fast list with no KFF and no vehicles. Would this work at all, or is it dumb?

It's a nice list, very hard to play, and you will simply lose to some armies, just because they are playing the list they are.
If you don't mind the auto-lose sometimes, go for it, it's fun.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

At the very least it is fun.
Problem that arises is a distinct lack of ranged AT(sure the Deffcoptas could have t-l Rokkits and Wazzdakka has the Dakkacannon, but still).
So your proposition has 5 PKs(assuming that is what is on the 4 Nobz) that can assault 4-5 vehicles(depending on whether Wazzdakka is attached to a unit). You could get more lower Str PKs from the 'Coptas but that gets pricey; and that is still only a max of 3 more vehicles assaulted/turn.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

That's not really much less than any other ork army can do
The real problem are close combat specialist and heavy flamers. Both eat bikers for breakfast and you can't really do anything about it. Regular orks simply outnumber those units, bikes can't do that due to high costs/model.

An all-bike army sure looks cool, but as above has some major weaknesses.
Another possibility to consider is all bikes and vehicles, with no infantry at all (not even trukk boys). A bit more flexible than all bikes, but has an even lower model count, which is both good and bad...

A warboss on a bike with a small squad of nob bikers could help a bit in the AT department and it might be worth having a few lottas and grots in the back field if you have the points. so youd have 2 ips 3 4 squads of bikers a squad of nob bikers coming right at you with lootas shooting away and grots hiding out on an objective. still fits the no tanks thing and speed but adds a lot more ranged at and an objective grabber.
