This is my first blog. So bear with me!

I've started it because I'm running out of creativity. I've hit the wall. The paint has ceased! So hoping for some inspiration!

First off some background. I had recently finished a 3000pt SM army, in Dark blue, so wanted a brighter, (in the colour sense, not the happier sense!) army. Also, I wanted to paint girls after sixty or so angry men! I will have male DE too, but I love the Wyche models, so it will be primarily focussed around them. At various points this year I've dumped a lot of Cash in Dark Sphere's lap (Check out their store here; http://www.darksphere.co.uk/) and purchased a whole load of stuff en masse.

Their primary colour is yellow! But, I went for a desert yellow, rather than bright Imperial fists or Bad moon. I'm also struggling for a name, originally I wanted dying Sun, but then I saw the box-out in the codex! Doh! Why do GW always pilfer the best names??

Any suggestions welcome. With the name, one can then set about creating ones own fluff! I will also try and update this at least once a week.

Okay, okay, enough talking I hear you say. Where are the shots?? So armed with nothing aside from an army painter can of Desert yellow and a fine detail brush, I finally painted up some troops.

So a start at least! I want to get better at painting, it seems I'm like, only ever destined to be as good as I am now, no matter how many mini's I paint...!! And also, any suggestions on how to take better pictures would be fabulous. David Bailey I am not....

I'm liking the scheme, the contrast between the bright blue and desert yellow works. The idea of sand ships is also pretty cool after all!

I'd try to maybe work a bit more blue into the Raiders to give them a bit more visual pop. I'm thinking the sails or the runes.

Some thoughts on a name. I've always found it really hard to come up with something I can live with as well.
