Hey, im an avid player of Nids the kraken variety (bleached bone skin)

for years I've done the usual task of highlighting skin gradually from tausept ochre to bleached bone blablalba

refined it whilst making it the better the usual progression...

but the other day in my FLGS some Stealers were on sale, they'd been inked in something after a white primer which gave them the pretty much desired bleached bone effect with only 1 wash as far as I know :/

Any idea's on what ink this'd be..tried devlan mud & ogryn flesh, it ain't them xD

Alternatelelelevy is there an awesome technique to get this awesome skin tone faster?

ATM I do Primer white,
basecoat tausept ochre
wash ogryn flesh
50/50 TS ochre & bleached bone
bleached bone highlight

big beasties get 50/50BB and skull white.

Thanks for y0 time )

I heared especially for bonecolored Nids a dip of dark shade after white basecoat seems to work very well.

However I never tried this or seen this myself IRL.

I'd try a mix of Sepia and Devlan Mud.

I have had excellent results using dheneb stone (the really pale foundation paint) with a devlan mud wash, then highlight bleached bone.
