Before i start. yeah2 i know that dark eldar would be better with their transports but i just wanna make a working footslogging Pain'Dar. So keep this to the theme, not whining why i wouldnt take vehicles.

Mark I

Archon, Webway Portal, Shadow Field, Agoniser - 145
Haemonculus, Liquifier Gun - 60

5 Kabalite Trueborn, 4 blaster - 120
5 Kabalite Trueborn, 4 blaster - 120
10 Harlequin, 2 Fusion blaster, 6 Harlequin's Kisses, Shadowseer, Troupemaster with Power Weapon - 274

15 Wyches, 3 Razorflail, Agoniser Blast Pistol Hekatrix - 225
15 Wyches, 3 Razorflail, Agoniser Blast Pistol Hekatrix - 225
10 Wracks, Agoniser Acothyst - 130

Chronos Parasite Engine, Spirit Vortex - 100
Chronos Parasite Engine, Spirit Vortex - 100

How this works? The harlequins and wracks will be the first liner. Haemonculus joins harlequins for FNP. Sneaking right behind them will be the kabalite trueborn. Trueborns will have cover but that doesnt mean that they should take enemy fire. Try to hide the trueborns behind terrains. And between these units will be the chronos. Pop open transports, kill some enemy infantry with chronos, and give pain tokens to trueborns or Wyches.

Depending on situation, might reserve units to enter through Webway Portal.

Mark II works more straightforward. More Lance weapons but less cover and tricks. Just shoot at will. While Mark I is more CC oriented, Mark II is all about firepower. I feel this list can destroy most MEQ armies out there.

Can't really comment really as I'm just going to say about vehicles so I'll leave it as that. Btw Haemonculus won't give pain token to Harlequins, check the FAQ says models without this rule do not get the benefits.

I think you'd be better doing a foot list with the Baron and taking Hellions as troops. You'll have some fast moving mofos which can do some hurt. Then have some Scourges with heatlances, all this comes out the webway portal.

I think like mercer said, you need the speed.
Hellions would be great, so would Scourges and Beast packs.
All fast attacks, so you would definatly want the Baron to make Hellions troops.
Harlequins can still work without FNP, as you have the Shadowseer which makes them harder to hit in the first place. But everything else might be just a bit too slow, i just don't think it has the synergy of a standard Eldar foot list.

This is mainly theoretical advice from an inexperienced DE player but I hope it's useful. I'm also thinking about trying out a DE army that does not rely upon transports so I'm very interested in your project.

Anyway, here are some bullet point ideas. Feel free to reject/ignore:

- Forum wisdom seems to be that having two chronoi in an army is unnecessary and that one chronos + one/two taloi is a better combo.

- I would recommend adding another haemonculus or two to help out the wyches with pain tokens, which incidentally adds another good reason to drop/swap a chronos.

- I agree with the other posters that the addition of hellions as troops and more scourges would be very useful to speed the army up.

- I'm particularly concerned about those footslogging trueborn (How will they survive when they inevitably have to break cover? How will they get close enough to any rear-deployed artillery-type tanks?). I would be inclined to replace the trueborn entirely with larger reaver squads (e.g. 6 bikes + 2 heat lances) or more scourges as ablative wounds for your heat lances. Alternatively, perhaps DL trueborn would be more useful in a footslogging army since they could snipe from a greater distance? Also a talos or two would help with adding more AT.

- Whilst I'm talking about AT, how about haywires on the wyches to deal with transports, freeing up the pain/parasite engines to do more than just pop rhinos?

You pretty much absolutely need either speed or WWP's to win as DE. Having to slog it decreases the use of Dark Lances, infantry even with FnP die quickly, and multiple Parasite Engines become redundant. I'd definitely invest in Hellions if that's what you're going for.
