To control an Objective, a person must have a Scoring Unit and the enemy must not have a Unit of any kind within 3" of it.
The state of Morale of any of the Units within 3" of this Objective have no bearing in this matter.
If a Scoring Unit was Falling Back past an Objective and there was no enemy within 3" of the Objective, the Falling Back Unit would control the Objective... assuming the game ends at this point.
If a unit that is not a Scoring Unit was Falling Back and came within 3" of an Objective that was controlled by an enemy Scoring Unit, that Objective is now contested... assuming the game ends at this point.
All of the statements above are correct, aren't they?
The specification of what constitutes a Scoring unit on p90 and the requirements for Controlling an Objective within the Mission descriptions on p91 sure seem to indicate that they are.
The niggling belief that a unit that has failed Morale and is Falling Back cannot hold/contest an objective is just a residue of memory of previous rule-sets, isn't it?
