Blood Angel Neophyte Undergoing Surgeries

In the shimmering heat of the deserts of Nehekhara death came swiftly and usually brutally, the dead called this place home and they suffered none to trespass on their land.
The haze created by the heat of the day obscured the horizon as the foolish human treasure hunters worked hard to steal what they could from the tomb of Akmhotep the once great king of the region, entombed beneath the harsh desert sands for five hundred years he had rested secure in the knowledge that his priests would one day bring him back to again rule his kingdom as an immortal god.

One of the robbers stood up to wipe the sweat from his brow and take a much needed swig from his water skin, as he blotted the sweat from his forehead he stared out at the horizon and spat cursing the heat and the dust, but mostly cursing the fool of a man who dragged him out here with promises of treasure and riches beyond imagining. He picked up his shovel and was about to begin digging again when he thought he heard the sound of marching troops, dismissing it as his imagination he went back to digging only to hear the sound more clearly along with the unmistakeable sound of creaking leather and clinking metal. He looked up and scanned the horizon before getting the attention of the other members of his team and drawing his sword, he scanned the horizon once more and therough the heat haze spotted the unmistakeable shape of men and horses, at first only a small number which he dismissed as desert nomads or traders, however the longer he stared the more men and horses appeared and amongst them teams of chariots.

What puzzled him though was the silence, the men and horses made no noise none of the usual banter and complaining men on a forced march make. He barely had time to turn and yell at the men to run when the first flight of arrows leapt from bows long unused and flew unswervingly towards their intended targets striking each man 3 or 4 times killing them instantly. One of the chariots drove forward a banner fluttering in the wind caused by it's passage, the blue cloth faded somewhat and the gold dimmed by age, it's passenger holding himself with the kind of haughtiness known only to royalty and had he had any lips left...or skin for that matter his visage would have been one of great annoyance, all there was however was a skull with his glowing baleful eye's taking in the corpses of the dead. The carrion birds were already circling waiting for the killers of their feast to move on, seized by a long forgotten memory the king attempted to spit on the corpses and was rewarded only with anger and frustration he signalled to his troops and and silently as they arrived they left marching onwards to goals unknown to the living.
Once again the legions of Akmhotep stalked the deserts of Nehekhara seeking to restore their long lost kingdom to it's once great glory.

So in case you haven't worked it out by now i've decided to delve into the wonderful world of warhammer fantasy, this will by no means spell the end of my eldar and blood angels armies...only add to the time it will take me to finally finish painting them all lol.
I've decided on Tomb Kings (Duh!) and so splashed out on 2 battalion boxes of them along with 2 liche priests and a bsb, i've since learned that a bsb isn't much needed in a tomb kings army so he's been placed to one side with plans to convert him into a tomb king/prince.
I've also got plans to purchase a casket of souls and some screaming skull catapults and of course...more skeletons. So far i've assembled 8 horse archers 40 warriors with spears and 20 archers, they are all at least under coated with the horse archers being finished minus some detail on the base, i intend to find some dead looking long grass and stick in on the base in little clumps, i had originally thought that just plain sand would work, and while yes it looks ok the bases don't really pop like i would like them to.
I also have in the works 6 chariots and 10 tomb guard (for those who don't know slightly stronger skeletons)and another 8 skeleton horsemen. Also on my wish list is a necrosphinx so ty i'll be hitting you up in the next month or so to secure one from russ at the combat company for me.
Anyway without furthur ado here are the pictures, once again i need a better camera than the one on my phone but i do the best i can with what i've got.
