So my DCM status expired this morning, and I went to renew it. There is a nag at the top of the page indicating "Thanks for being a regular dakka poster. If you crave more dakka then why not become a DCM and get access to more forums and get first access to new features?", which redirects to http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/services_dcm.jsp

The instructions on that page are the old one, which says to email webmaster@dakkadakka.com, and probably should instead give instructions and a link to your profile. It's also missing the disclaimer that any an all benefits can be revoked for any or no reason, and if you act like a stupid jackasss and get yourself banned, you can't have a refund. Not that people who get DCM are inclined to act in ban-likely ways.

I wondered why this wasn't fixed. I just thought that it was one of those "Mild Things" that Lego would get around to when he wan't desperately trying to fix the Search Engine.

That's because those 'benefits' aren't something that you're 'buying' with your DCM payment. You're donating to support the site, and Yak and Lego chose to give you a few extra perks as a thank you.

Yes. I understand why the disclaimer is there, and agree with it. I'm pointing out it's absence on the current page as a bug.

or, as it's currently phrased on the donation sidebar (but not on the obsolete page):
Remember, DCM payments are simply donations showing that you support dakka, they are not a guarantee of any extra service, any and all DCM perks might be removed at any time.

it should be on here somewhere too, is what I'm saying - I don't think it's as explicit as the sidebar, and probably should be.

Not exactly a huge priority, of course.

The whole page needs a revamp, yes. I've been a bit too busy lately to do it just yet but it is high on the list.
