When using a Veteran sergeant with a power fist, I understand that it doubles the Strength of the model using it. How does this work with furious charge?

Is it S3 x2 = 6 + 1 for furious charge (7)
or S3 +1 furious charge x2 = (8)

You double, then add extras, unless it tells you other wise, such as with Hammerhand.

Furious charge applies after the 2x of the fist => Str 7

The only skill that applies before doubling str. is Grey Knights Hammerhand (as far as I know)

As above, S7 as you add the bonus after the modifier.

(also, i was very confused when you said a Vet Sarg was S3.... can you guess i play marines? )

How are you guys determining this... what page are you basing this on? I'm sure you're right, but I'm curious on the citation. Page 42 doesn't clearly answer this either way.

And maths, in general. When you have no brackets around, you multiply first, tehn add.

Hammerhand essentially adds a bracket around the addition.
