So i was on the Black Library website, and i was thinking about submitting some work on my first novel to them...
I was reading the requirements:
a 1,000 word summary
chapter-by-chapter breakdown of the entire novel (no more than 6 pages) and
the first 3 chapters (10,000 words minimum).

What exactly do you put in a summary? Like honestly. I dont want to reveal whats going to be happening in my story...but yet they want a summary that is a thousand words? ahuh...help?

So the chapter by chapter break down....i've pretty much done that...if anyone has any advice inparticular, it would be helpful because im finding it rather hard to work out what to say in it....is it just dot points?

The first three chapters im pretty much DONEE!!! just a little more editing and itll be sweet but its like 26000 words roughly :S so im not sure if ive gone tooo much overr...

If you do a search on the interweb you will find some helpful authors who have described how to submit work with summaries and the like.

The word count shouldn't matter aslong as you've completed a minimum.

And these are the guys who are going to edit review, edit review and edit and then review, your story. Worrying about giving away plot twists, suprises and the ending is pointless. They have to know! and readers wont find out, they aint readers, theyre editors...
