hello i am a new player to the space marine army i have just started the other day as i usually play guard but i decided to play space marine and i have entered myself into a
1,000 point tournament which is soon and i am not sure what to get but i want it to be in a drop pod and with boltgun and weapons what can destroy tanks like meltas and i am only
230 points short of 1,000. so can you guys suggest something good which i can put in my drop pod because the only thing i can think of is a sternguard veteren squad .
so has anyone got any suggestions for me ? help!

Sternguard Vets are a pretty good choice. If you really don't want them though, maybe Vanguard Vets without Jump Packs.

OP, please work on your posting a little - it's pretty breathless what with the lack of capitalization or punctuation, and your formatting is wack. Good grammar is one of the things posters here are supposed to have, so I urge you to work on yours a little.

If you're looking for a unit with boltguns and a drop pod, you're pretty much describing sternguard vets. You could probably buy 6 or 7 with combi meltas and put them in a drop pod for those 230 points. 230 points could also buy a squad of tactical Marines with a drop pod, a power fist, and two of the "free" weapons, like a flamer and a rocket launcher. That wouldn't be as effective unless your entire army was drop podding though.
