I've seen a thread that had pictures of where you can get some very nice Thunderwolf Cavalry models and I think Mr. Dandy has the win there, but I'm going to need about 70 or so wolves for my fluffy 2500 point army Does Dakka have the answer for a cheaper alternative than the ones I can get from GW and hopefully have some unique (more unique then two poses is all I'm asking) poses (sp?). Basically if you've seen a nice looking wolf that would go on a bike base post it here! Would love to see what you are using or would like to see on the tabletop!

Lack of variety on the second option, but fairly cheap.

Chaos warhounds without the weird ears. 25 bucks for ten models.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

nah, Wargs all the way.

they are big enough to not look wierd next to marines and actually match the artwork fairly closely.

6 for 16.50 is only more expensive by $0.25 then Warhounds and the models look better.

So still no options other then GW options posted yet? I was hoping something on the level of detail as Mr. Dandy's TWC. Their fur looks real enough for me.

*edit for grammar

I bought the Goblin Wolfriders box for Fantasy, as it comes with 10 of the Wolves in the second link of Portaljacker's post. My Wolves were mostly built in 4th ed, so there weren't more recent Space Wolf models and everything looked pretty good together.

Check out my Youtube channel!

Use the Worgs and Greenstuff them. So what if it's Games Workshop stuff? Who cares?

I didn't say I had a problem with Games Workshop stuff XD it's just that I was wondering if there was an alternative since the only wolves offered by GW isn't what I would like to use for my army in particular ^^

The only problem with the Wargs is that you can't use them in tournaments, due to the licensing with New Line Cinema.

However, if you are not planning on using them in a tournament then there are better options

Another great place to look for different models to use for anything is

eh what?

the Wargs are still a GW product and as such would be completely legal.
