Get an Island of Blood Skaven Army, should run about $40 USD on ebay. Then I would get more rats/slaves, I think I bought 20 clan rats from Island of Blood on ebay for $15 including shipping and ordered like 5 sets. You need clan rats and slaves like 150 is a good count, maybe less if you plan on getting stormvermin, if you do go for stormvermin I would get at least 2 boxes as 20 is too little, you'll want 30-40. Screaming bell is cool too. Some rares are good as well Hell Pit or Warp Lightening Cannon with Doomwheel being fun but not as useful as the 2 prior, if you do go WLC get 2.

Hargus...your list seems to be built around him palying games...which is not what he plans on doing.
I would suggest queek to go with the vermin and a HPA just because they are a good looking model.

Models that look awesome:
Warlord with a halberd and eye patch. Perhaps my favorite HQ model for skaven. The new Queek is pretty cool also.
Screaming Bell of course, I much prefer its look to the Furnace.
If you want a warlock, get the IoB one. The metal ones are pretty bad. :-\
Stormvermin are awesome looking core, and of the weapon teams I'd say the Warpfire Thrower. It's one of the more recently updated ones, being in IoB and has more character than the mortar team.
Jezzails are pretty snazzy, although there's a limited choice of poses. Rat Ogres have so much variety that you can easily fit them in. Sadly, the night runner / gutter runner models are still mostly the old "monkey" rats in plastic, although some of the older skaven assassins are pretty cool.
Rares: Doomwheel. The Hamster Wheel of Death is just amazing, and I'm a huge fan of the Warp Lightning Cannon kit. I'm still sorta iffy on the Hell Pit Abomination model, but they're definitely a nice center-piece model if you don't mind a little conversion work to get it just the way you want it.
That's about it as far as I recall. Unfortunately, many of the special choices for Skaven are still old metal models with limited poses that haven't really been updated in awhile. I think there are 2 poisoned wind globadier models which are pretty much "sword up or sword down".

For a display army, I'd get the following:
- Queek Headtaker
- Deathmaster Snikch
- Screaming Bell. It looks nicer painted up than the Plague Catapult.
- Skaven stuff from an IoB set. That'll give you 20x clanrats with spears, 20x clanrats with hand weapons, a Warlord, a Warplock Engineer, two different weapon teams, two different Rat Ogres and Packmaster with prod. Put a full command in both clanrat units to make it look more impressive.
- 20x Stormvermin with full command.
- Doomwheel. Or two. Not the most useful unit currently but they look amazing.
- Hell Pit Abomination. Nuff said.
Those are the best looking models in the army in my opinion and should look pretty sweet when painted up properly.

I know! And now he is in fincast! Thats good, since I am horrible with metal.. Praise the Horned Rat!
So far, my list is:
IoB
Screaming Bell
Queek
Stormvermin
Stormvermin
Warp Lightning Cannon
Hell Pit Abomination
Plague Monks
Clanrats
Clanrats
I love Stormvermin, so 40 of them will make me happy
Further, I have seen some images in WD of Council Albino Guard. Looks awsome, IMHO.
I dont actually know if it will look on clanrats, otherwise I will use that painting scheme not only on Stormvermin, but on clanrats too..
Does anyone actualy know how that looks at clanrats?

Plague monks aren't a visually nice unit. They're the older sculpts and not as nice as the newer stuff.
As for the rest, put a full command in everything. Also, get a Doomwheel for your display. It's such a wonderful model to see when painted. Just remember to NOT attach the side wheels until after painting is done.

Plague Monks are certainly not as bad as Night Runners / Gutter Runners, which still have the old "monkey" shape. I wouldn't put them anywhere close to on par with the Stormvermin or the latest Clan Rats though.
There's also an article on the GW site that has a decent system for painting the Doomwheel.

Its a shame they're as pricey as they are, because I really like the Plague Censer Bearers. The model is decent looking, but the idea behind them does it for me.

Save some money....
And of course, try to usecheap stuff. Like foam for the basic constructs, cheaper paint and cheap putty for making dwarf stuff....
For my lizardmenarmy, ill be making a big jungle with some ruins....ruins is cheap foam, textured with a stone.....its easy... Plants can be cheap aqaurium plants.....and so on...
Of course you can get stuff even cheaper on ebay and other sites like that...

Your aquirium plants need water, and I dont think you want to detroy your terrain
And a looted dwarf hold, skaven housing, pits for the rat ogres etc.
Would be wavy more expensive then you think over €200,- bucks.

2: a display army is part of a hobby and can take years.... in years you will be able to build terrain as well
and the big terrain is cool.....makes your army even cooler, tto
