What do you think is the worst site on the internet?
As in, what website has the most idiocy, the most spam, the most crude & immature humour, hateful messages, and anything like that.
The two things that immediately spring to mind are 4chan (and all associated sites) and Conservapedia.
What are your thoughts?

Easily 4chan.

Or plant-care.com. That place is a hive of filth and infantile depravity.

That's some seriously masochistic tendencies right there, then. But seriously, if you think this is bad, you should see the Aspidistra haters on plant-care.com, or the constant war between Orchid apologists and haters.

Hmmm, may I ask why?

I'm just curious as to what problem you have with trying to limit the destruction that we as humans wreak upon our natural surroundings.

well that is also very true, people that deny our impact are also complete fools, i believe in somewhere in the middle, but many of these organizations are completely irrational. They think that all industry must be stopped immediatly(which is both unrealistic and would cripple the worlds economies if these people had their way), and there is no middle ground with both extreme sides of the arguement. I try to not deal with radicals.

I fully believe that humans SHOULD find other energy sources, and that it is very important, I am a boy scout and love this earth and its beauty and realise that it needs to be preserved. But I also realise that if these organizations had their way, all of the economies of the world would be fethed, and that would lead to society being fethed. Once again, I am for moving away from coal and gas and oil, ONCE IT BECOMES REALISTIC AND VIABLE, these organizations want it done now, and that would destroy us.

these organizations dont seek a limit of destruction. They seek the destruction of business(indirectly) which is what i am against.

@dajobe
None of these organisations are asking for all big buissenesses to be shut down. They're saying to try and limit their impact on the environment. If that would destroy a company, then that company is obviously making terrible decisions.
But anyway, that's off topic. On topic, the sheer idioticness to be found on Conservapedia and Westboro Baptist.net makes my head spin. I don't understand how evolution could allow these cretins to exist.

Trollpie, i work at a coal company, my family works at a coal company, I have had these organizations come into my building and police officers have to be here to make sure they dont burn down the building(yes that has happened to other companies). I have seen and read of the things these organizations want of the coal industry, it amounts to shutting down the industry. An industry that happens to provide 90% of the worlds power. As i said, I am all for getting away from coal and oil eventually, once it becomes realistic, which takes research and time, and immediate actions are not realistic.

Obviously you do not know of the laws and limitations that these organizations lobby for. You do not know of the ridiculous limitations that the EPA passes, I am all for regulation, but they have to be realistic and feasible.

Now that's all fine and good, and you're right; if the entire world stopped using fossil fuels tomorrow things would go downhill very quickly. But that is not an argument for no regulation of fossil fuel industries such as coal, gas, and oil. Until the day comes that we no longer need fossil fuels, we need to make sure we do as little additional damage to the environment than has already been done. That means regulation of industries that damage the environment. We've only go one planet and it sure would be sad if we completely crapped it up because at the time we considered business more important than sustainability.

True Christians Unite was a forum we discovered back around 02 or 03

It was basically a complete troll site. No matter what you post there the regulars would post something far worse from the most depraved dreams of God and gun loving rednecks. Until you catch on to the joke in which case they would delete your post and ban you waiting for the next sucker to come along.

i didnt say no regulation, i am saying that the ones that the environmentalists often push for are too severe to allow a business to function.

As a web designer, it really bugs me when I go to a site that looks like crap. Even people that aren't designers and have limited HTML experience can put together something nice if they really try.. and in this day and age every other ISP is offering template sites that are easy to customize, so there's really no excuse for crappy design, other than the person designing it just not caring.
