So I was looking about and their is much to be said of the exalted First Companies of the Space Marine Chapters, the value they place on the Crux Terminatus over their own chapter badge as it takes the precedence on the left shoulder and moves the company badge to the right. And even when the Marine is not in the Terminator Armor he will continue to wear the Crux Terminatus on his standard power armor.

That is all well and good for the line troopers and basic marine staff, but what of the Apothecary? Not much is said about the medics of this hallowed group of warriors. As a member of the first companies command squad it is likely that they would have access to the Terminator armor, as the older codex's show they did at one point and as most recently the Grey Knights have an Apothecary type in Terminator armor even now.

So this can go both ways, fluff and player model design.

Are the first company apothecaries granted the "privilege" of wearing the crux terminatus and if so do they loss the Prime Helix on their opposite shoulder or do they sacrifice the badge of their chapter?

I have a few assumptions but I'd like to hear what the community has to say first.

They aren't members of the company but of the apothecarium.
They likely wouldn't wear the crux terminatus though they may have it marked on a knee pad as a badge of honour.
If they were in terminator armour however they would have the crux on one shoulder and probably have the chapter badge (machine spirits and all that).
The apothecary mark would be on a knee pad or lost entirely... after all they are completely white so they should be easy to spot. Unless you're fighting in the snow.

But each Chapter is supported by the apothecarium with a dozen or so Apothecaries. And they operate withing the chapter for it's benefit, that of protecting it's gene seed and assisting the wounded or fallen. Also the Captains of the company hand pick their command staff and that includes the Apothecary why would he not enjoy the privileges of all the others in the First Company? After all he has the most important job in the entire group. Protect the gene seed.

Or is the apothercarium so separate that they do not share in the glories of other marines?

Wow, did I ever start building my Command Squad wrong... I put Crux pads on both shoulders on one model. Enh, he'll be marked as double-plus good. I also gave my Apothecary a crux pad plus the Apothecarum double helix pad. And I was totally planning on giving one of the other veterans double crux pads, and another those weird pads with the sticky-out parts. And then the Champion, whose body front I used on my Commander, would get his usual stuffles.

I'd say they believe that rotecting the gene-seed is more important than any battlefield glory.
Veterans of some especially special actions may have the awards for them but otherwise i think they are apothecaries before anything else.

How far along are you? Can you back track and make any repairs or adjustments at this point?

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

they arn't included in the Company structure(or the 1,000 marine limit) and will simply bear the sigils of the Apothecarium, though they might be allowed the Crux Terminatus as a sign of honor. Terminator armor has the Crux built in and so it would already have it.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

So then if they were to be granted Term armor they would probably drop the chapter symbol and keep the Crux and the Prime Helix or they would have the crux mark placed on maybe a Knee of the power armor and keep the chapter badge.

I can't seem to find any images to support any conclusion at this point but the path of logic with the way these guys think points in this direction.
