Stalwart Veteran Guard Sergeant

Hi all....
Sort of a weird question, and I am not really sure where to put it...but...
Running a Kill Team/Inquisitor game and one of my players wants to play sort of a bureacratic truth seeker...
What I can determine so far is that the character is like a gun-toting accountant, but trying to find a profile that works for him is not working well for me...
So, are there any Adminstratum cool kids out there in the fluff?
So far the kill team consists of:
Imperial Guard Hardened Veteran Officer
Adeptus Sororitas Hospitaler Palatine
Adeptus Sororitas Famulous Mistress Repentia
Adeptus Sororitas Veteran Superior Celestian
Adeptus Mechanicus Tech Priest Enginseer
Adeptus Arbites Judge
Adeptus Mechanicus Magos (this is the character that I am trying to switch out to an Administratum type)
Any helps would be greatly appreciated.

Please don't try to get around the swear filter. Thanks, Manchu.

The administratum consists of clerks and accountants. They aren't supposed to fight people... though stranger things have happened.
There are, apparently, entire worlds devoted to the administratum so i suppose one could be invaded and the clerks and such would have to defend themselves...
Maybe one of them got his hands on a gun and the rest, as we say, is history.

There are such things as the Historical Revision Unit based on Terra and variously groups you could term Expurgators although that term crops up in connection to several different Imperial bodies.
The Administratum is reckoned the most powerful of all the Imperial organisations and they do have teams running around altering the records and often that includes killing people.
I imagine a veterans profile would be more than enough to represent such a group although I don't see there be any involvement with Ministorum agents (why are there Sisters in that Kill Team anyway?) or any other Imperial body. Basically you have a lot of room to create your own characters here.

The Administratum is a huge organization and more likely than not includes some more violent departments. Why not just make up a title like "Auditor Militant"? This could be the sort of character who is sent out to represent the Administratum in cases of tithe irregularities and, given the importance of tithes, s/he would be authorized to use deadly force in the execution of her/his duty, as well as enlisting the aid of IG (maybe even SM or SoB) units in enforcing compliance. Think of the Auditor Militant as a sort of "Tax Inquisitor." I really like this idea! A special agent of the administration who takes care of those whom the Administratum has decided "do not exist in our records."

I see no reason he couldn't just play an Arbite with a beuracratic focus. Like Elliot Ness in The Untouchables. Would that work?

Thanks for the help. Couldn't reply eariier (was moving). I am going to go with the Expurgator idea and ensures that histories are recorded "correctly".

Something about that idea makes me think of Call of Cthulhu where you DON'T read the mystical tomes...you burn them, and then shoot the people you got them from, then you blow up the ruins they were dug out of...

And even if you do that perfectly, chances are that you've managed to pick up at least a phobia or two and are halfway to a psychotic break.
Could having the guy be from Gunmetal city (or the equiv in your setting) give the character enough dakkability in his background?

Perhaps he is an Adept from one of the Fanes of Gunmetal City, charged with the cataloging of all Imperial-produced firearms in the Sector? Of course, to properly catalog a weapon, one needs to be both knowledgeable and experienced in its use in battlefield conditions...

Having a Tax Collector with a retinue similar to an Inquisitor would work. They're the largest organization in the Imperium, really anythings possible.
Another interesting concept would be violent and militarized "Repo Men".

Why would he have to be defending his world? Can't he just be a bureaucrat with an odd idea of a holiday?
Even the Imperium has unions... minimum 2 weeks paid a year, I understand.
