3 Land raiders at 1500 points is a huge threat, especially when 2 of your land raiders are scoring, if you put the tacticals in them, which i assume you will.

Most people will have a difficult if not impossible time trying to crack those 3 .

Make ur termies Assault terminators for even more cheese.

this list will do well, but i'd have no fun playing against it, its hard enought to crack one Land raider at 1500...

You definitly have a list full of hurt, 3 LRs in 1500 points is brutal. I have to ask, you playing to win at all costs or you playing just for amusment? Because as Stormcallers said, it will be hard to crack 3 of them in a game of that size

I wouldn't want to use assault terminators as I prefer the mix of dakka and instant death that a standard squad would do with sb/pf, and I wouldn't want to be *too* cheesy. I got totally annihilated by awful rolls and a combination of bad tactics and bad luck the other day, the only thing that held my force together was the land raider so I figured why run 1 when I can run 3? .

As for the fun aspect I can see what you mean, however to score the units would have to leave the relative safety of av 42 to capture a point which would be the weak point of the list as there are only 4 scoring 5 man squads on the table were I to combat squad em. Low troop count could be a major issue against horde armies that could throw more units at me than I could handle. Another thing this list lacks is anti armour punch other than the 4 meltas and 2 tl lascannons

Anyone got any thoughts on redeemer vs crusader?. I personally chose a crusader as I feel the redeemer can be avoided if immobilised.

Playing for fun, winning isn't something I care about greatly, every game I've played so far has been a loss

Additionally, last game my raider got immob, weapon destroyed, then finally wrecked in that order, leaving it as a colossal roadblock with very little line of sight useless crusader filled with terminators ftw?!?

A squad that's in a transport can still claim an objective. Eldar players basically use Dire Avenger Squads to upgrade their transports (both Wave Serpents and Falcons) to scoring units.

For whatever it's worth, I don't see this as being a world-beating list. A lot of lists will find it really obnoxious, but it will take you awhile to actually kill anything, and you're vulnerable to getting clogged up in terrain. At the very least, you should dump the Plasma Pistol to put Dozer Blades on everything. If a Dozer Blade costs more than 5 points on a Land Raider, dump something else.

I never knew that about transports, does that count for dedicated transports only or all vehicles with a scoring unit inside?

Can't help but point out how amusing I find the fact that your name is mreconomics and you are pointing out point costs, lol!

But I do agree on the dozer blades, and I will alter my list as such once I figure out how to model them without blocking the assault ramp (which I use to transport various bits for my tanks )

Working out with regards to what would actually be able to shoot per turn assuming no movement this list could deliver a maximum of 8 assault cannon shots, 3 heavy bolter shots, 2 missile shots, 3 mm shots, 2 lascannon shots, 2 flamestorm shots if in range, 28 bolter shots. Grand total of 48 shots of which 25 are twin linked, and 7 are anti vehicle. Not really that much considering the amount of high saves, invulnerable saves, and cover saves available. Which would be my argument to those claiming this list is super competitive, its reliant on 3 (albeit hard to crack) huge targets

Keep in mind that winning games does not only depend on your army's ability to stay alive. If your opponent's army has 6 mobile scoring units (like dark eldar for instance) and then manage to immobilize or destroy one of your tactical land raiders, they could win an objective based game for sure. However, beating this list in a kill-points game is almost impossible . the small amount of fire power is going to be your weakness.
