So, after getting my butt kicked a few times and every one being largely thanks to a Blood Talon Dreadnought, I thought I would ask here what's the best way to get rid of them. Thanks in advance! Oh, and it's mainly in smaller point games, less than 1000 pts usually.

Shoot them. Cause in CC you got nothing. Maybe tie it up with killa kans or their bigger cousin, but good luck actually some dread vs dread action.

Yeah, a dread with blood talons is a pain against infantry.
Don't get into hth with him; otherwise you'll need a power claw
or some tougher unit like a deff dread or killa kan to take it down.

Would trying to shoot it's rear armour with a few Deffkoptas with TL Rokkits work?

Your best bet HtH wise is Ghazkull. Otherwise shoot him with lootas and pray for immobilization, weapon destroyed, or plain destroyed.

Run it over with a deff rolla, hitting it with 1d6 str 10 hit. If it death or glories, you hit it with 2d6 instead, even if it succeeds in stopping the vehicle.

If you can manage to get a Deff Dread into combat with one you have a pretty clear advantage. He strikes at S6, you at S10.

If you ram it with a deffrolla, it's S6 means it can't do anything even if it death or glories. Otherwise, lootas, killa kans, and deffdreads should all be able to handle them.

Don't forget though that it comes with a built-in meltagun on one of its arms, so yes, it could do something. Something rather nasty. Then again, it's just a generally nasty beast... good luck and have fun!

A single killa kan should be able to kill a blood talon dread in CC. S6 just plain sucks against walkers, even WS2 walkers. A blood talon dread has no chance against a squad of killer kans or a deff dread.

Furioso Librarians can't take duel blood talons, so they shouldn't be a problem for orks.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Yup. Any good Ork build will bring at least a couple of the usual Ork tools to kill/neuter a Furioso. Throwing big squads of Boyz at it is just dumb.

1. Kans/Dreads.
2. Battlewagon Deffrollas
3. Lootas- not super efficient for killing it, but really all you need is an Immobilized or Weapon Destroyed. They only get the extra attacks ability when they have BOTH talons still intact.
4. Ghazkull.
