m looking to start a Ork nob army in 40k but i want them to be very knightly (going against there stereotype)the shootas with be a crossbow variant and they will all be individual characters. Any idea on Heads, Weapons and Armour and vehicles counts as.

I have already looked at Black Orks in fantasy, are these suitable in size? and warriors of chaos helmets and Armour?

They are just for fun. So as far as overall size and competitiveness i'm not really bothered.

All ideas will be appreciated.

Black Orcs are larger than regular boyz and slightly smaller than nobz - they work great for 'ardboyz, and are at least bigger than the nobz in the boyz boxes. I'm guessing you're taking an army with 2 warbosses and 2 squads of nobz as troops? If that's the case I'd still get a Nobz box for kitbashing so you can have powerklaws and such.

It would be 2 warbosses and 2 Nobs squads... how much smaller than nobs? is there any size guides or the like? and im getting loads of Nobs to base the models on

Definitely go with 'eavy Armour (of course) or you might even want to make one of them a Meganobz mob, with a Mega Warboss.

If you're going just Nobz, go with Biker Nobs, and the Bikes could be warhorses or warboars (depending on how much you want to stay 'orky')

You could probably stick a mob of Boyz in there as foot soldiers- maybe a mob of 'ard Boyz decked out in similar livery to the Nobz, and even some Grots could be Pages or Squires or something.

But yeah, check out Fantasy models, not just for the BlOrk stuff, but for horses and the like.

Well i was thinking of having Bionics instead.. but as they dont have electric have the warp... ever played fable? as you get more magic capabilities you get blue viens on ur body looks cool anyway i was thinking that... and not sure about having them as "bikers" as such i like to idea of them on foot :/ still thinking about it tbh but they would be on horses if i went down that route.

Done like Mega armour too bulky.

As for boys im not sure but definitely grot squires

You probably won't want to have them on foot, as they'll just get shot to pieces. Put them in battlewagons, and if you really want to stylize them, you could convert them to look like castles or giant horses or whatever.

The figures are like, a millimeter or two shorter than nobz. The size difference is pretty negligible.

:/ Grrr, hmmmm i was thinking of having like horse drawn carts or something along that like of thinking for the battle wagons.

How big are the warriors of chaos helmets and armor also horses compared to Ork nobs? they look similar in size and they have good Armour

Orks have much bigger heads than humans, at most they'd be able to perch human helmets on top of their heads as a trophy, not 'wear' them properly. Most armour would be similarly undersized, except something like shouder pads - my orks loot shoulder armour from everyone, even if they have to wear it as knee/elbow armour.

@Clang: I know they are bigger than humans but im not sure how big warriors of chaos are.... They look much bigger than a average human.

Also i was thinking of how to knightify the guns they will carry bows, Crossbows and old style flintlock pistols.... but as the normal human weapons of these are too small, (unless the 2h crossbows and big guns look right in just 1 hand for nobs..)
There's always the heavy weapons from the high and dark elves which would make a good 2h crossbow or bow for one..
