Anything like this ever happened to you?
So I am to enter a tournament, and decide to enlarge my Eldar army with some things needed. First I buy a Wave Serpent (much needed thing), then I buy Guardians, and a War Walker...
Not until then do I remember that the Eldar starter set contains just that, plus some Dire Avengers, which I in fact also need. For a lower cost.

How so? What happened was quitte ironic, was it not? Or what, have I misunderstood what irony means again?

Good movie, though.
And no, I've never run into that. Seems like battleforce boxes always have two things I want, one thing I have enough of, already, and something I'd never use. Granted, I've only ever considered the boxes for the two armies I actually have, so my chances of facepalming were relatively low.

Space Marine battle force has a bunch of stuff in it that I don't use so I'm not really saving any money off the stuff I will use and Chaos Demons don't have a battle force so I can't really save any money there either.

If I'm buying a Wave Serpent, I'd always consider getting the Battleforce.
For other Battleforces, though, maybe not as much.
Most Eldar players would use WS and WW, and DAs are pretty core too.
